Happy International Older persons Day!!
The United Nations International Day of Older Persons is a global observance that recognizes the contributions of older people and addresses the challenges they face in a rapidly ageing world. It highlights their roles as advocates and change-makers in areas like health equity, community resilience, and human rights, countering stereotypes and promoting inclusion
Our Children from milestones leanyer worked together to design and create our own mailbox as part of our connection and partnership with the local community.
The mailbox will provide opportunities for children to exchange drawings, cards, letter and crafts. This experience supports children to develop a sense of belonging and connection while learning about communication, community participation and respectful relationship.
Our children from Milestones leanyer have written letters and place them in the mailbox.
The mailbox has been delivered to our local council office here at Leanyer shopping village. Today is International of Older Person hence all the seniors who visited the shop will get our letters and sunscreen keyring.
