Even though he is only a baby, he is listening to the rhythm and tone of his educator’s voice, looking closely at the pictures, taking in new sounds and words, and building a beautiful connection through shared attention. 🌱📖

These moments help support early communication and language development, listening skills, concentration, imagination and a love of books, while also creating a strong sense of security and belonging.

But beyond the learning, there is something even more special — the relationship. 💕
A warm lap, a gentle voice, eye contact, smiles and shared moments all help babies feel safe, valued and connected.

Our little gardeners have been busy giving our garden some much-needed love! 💦🌻

Watering the plants, checking on our garden and caring for living things provides children with meaningful hands-on learning experiences. It encourages responsibility, patience and an understanding of how plants grow and what they need to thrive. 🌱🪴

There’s something so special about watching children take pride in caring for their environment and seeing the excitement when they notice a new leaf, flower or little bit of growth! 🌼💚

🌈✨ Sensory Fun at Treehouse! ✨🌈

There’s nothing better than getting hands-on and exploring through our senses! Our children have been enjoying a fun sensory experience where they can touch, feel, squish, scoop, pour and explore at their own pace. 👐💦

Sensory play is so much more than messy fun! It helps children develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration, while encouraging curiosity, creativity and problem-solving. 🧠🌱

It also provides opportunities to explore different textures, sounds, colours and movements, supporting children to build confidence in trying new experiences and expressing their ideas.

Most importantly, sensory play is a wonderful opportunity for child-led learning, meaningful conversations and connection with educators and friends. 💕🌳

🚲🧼 Wash, Splash & Learn! 💦🌿

Our Kindy children have been having so much fun giving their bikes a good wash! 🧽🚲 What looks like simple water play is actually a wonderful learning experience.

As the children scrub, rinse and wipe, they are developing their fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, balance and strength. They are also exploring concepts such as cause and effect, water flow, measuring and problem-solving while working together and sharing resources. 💧✨

Most importantly, it’s child-led, hands-on learning that encourages teamwork, independence and plenty of conversation! 🥰

🤟✨ Learning to Communicate in New Ways with Miss Amanda! ✨🤟

At Treehouse Early Learning Lawnton, our children absolutely love their weekly Sign Language classes with the wonderful Miss Amanda!

Through fun songs, games, stories, and everyday conversations, the children are learning Auslan signs that help them communicate, express their emotions, and connect with those around them. Learning sign language not only builds communication skills but also encourages inclusion, empathy, confidence, and an understanding that there are many different ways to communicate.

It’s incredible to watch the children’s excitement as they proudly remember new signs and use them with their friends and educators throughout the day.

A big thank you to Miss Amanda for making every class so engaging, meaningful, and full of smiles! 💚

✏️🌿 Little Hands, Big Learning in Kindy! 🌿✏️

Our Kindy children have been proudly practising how to write their names through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. 🖍️✨

With the support and encouragement of our educators, children are exploring the letters in their names, developing confidence and strengthening their early literacy skills. Each interaction provides an opportunity for educators to listen, guide, ask thoughtful questions and celebrate every achievement along the way. 💬💚

Learning to write their name supports children to develop:

🔤 Letter recognition and early literacy skills
🧠 Memory, concentration and problem-solving
🌟 Confidence, independence and a sense of identity

Our educators understand that every child learns at their own pace. Through warm, responsive interactions, they provide encouragement and individual support while making learning enjoyable and meaningful. 🥰

🎨✨ Where Imagination Comes to Life! ✨🎨

Today, our children gathered together for a beautiful experience of free drawing, creativity and connection. With a blank page, colourful materials and plenty of imagination, there were no limits to what they could create! 🌈🖍️

As the children drew alongside one another, meaningful conversations naturally unfolded. They shared ideas, talked about their creations, asked questions and inspired each other through their unique stories and imaginative thinking. 💬🤝

Free drawing provides children with the opportunity to:
