AFTER-HOURS COMMUNITY KINDERGARTEN CLEANER WANTED AT LAWNTON

Part-time | Approximately 10.5 hours per week + school holiday cleaning

Our community kindergarten in Lawnton is seeking a reliable, thorough and trustworthy cleaning contractor to care for our two-unit kindergarten facility after hours.
The Role
● 2¼ hours, 4 days per week
● 1½ hours, 1 day per week
● 10.5 hours per week during school terms
● Approximately 4–5 additional hours during each school holiday period
● Starting Tuesday 6 October 2026
● ABN required, with weekly invoicing

The successful applicant will follow our agreed cleaning schedule and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across both kindergarten classrooms. We are particularly interested in a local cleaner or family cleaning business with an ABN who takes pride in their work, has a high attention to detail, is trustworthy, reliable and professional, and is community-minded with an understanding of the responsibility of working in a children’s environment. They will communicate well, be responsive, provide references and/or customer reviews, have availability that suits our required schedule, offer a fee structure within our budget, be happy to follow our cleaning priorities and schedule, and have work rights in Australia.

They will also be responsible for booking and overseeing carpet cleaning, pest control and exterior building washing when required.

The children dug around our existing water pump reservoir in preparation for our big renovation. We were very excited and appreciative of Nita Group’s input into our Mud Pit Renovation project. Brayden, Nita Group’s Director (who turns out is an Uncle to one of our past families) coordinated 2 of his staff to bring some machinery to kindy on the holidays, remove existing old logs, move giant rocks, excavate dirt back to ground level, then re-fit the rocks into their new locations. They even took all of the debris away. What an awesome heart for supporting our Kindy Community!!!

We had a lovely end of term 1 event at Lawnton Kindy this week. The children were very excited to come along in fancy dress costumes, play with the children and experience kindy at twilight. Our friendly tawny frogmouths were a bit dazed and couldn’t quite figure out why these noisy little people were here in their quiet night time! Dinner of mini hotdogs and bowls of cheerios were another fun addition to the night, placing their order to a human-sized hot dog and being served by a witch, unicorn and cat! 🤣😍
