🚒🔥 One of our Year 12 students recently had a unique opportunity! 👩‍🚒

They spent a day at the fire station, gaining firsthand insight into the important work firefighters do every day. Throughout the experience, the student learned about the responsibilities involved in the role, from emergency response 🚨 and equipment maintenance 🔧, to station routines and teamwork 🤝.

They assisted with taking inventory of the fire truck 🚒, explored the specialized tools and equipment carried on board 🧰, and observed the preparation required to keep crews ready for any situation.

The day provided a valuable behind-the-scenes look at life in the fire service and offered a greater appreciation for the dedication, skills, and commitment required to serve the community ❤️.

🙏 We are extremely grateful to Petrie Fire Station and the two firefighters who supported and assisted throughout the day. This was an invaluable experience and one the student will carry forever.

Our Year 11 and 12 students are seeking valuable work experience opportunities as they explore future career pathways and develop real-world skills.

We are looking for local businesses, organisations, and community groups willing to host a student for work experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to support young people as they gain insight into the workplace and potential career options.
