Tamar Valley Steiner School

Tamar Valley Steiner School We pride ourselves on providing holistic, engaging and inspiring Steiner education https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZmAX5adCl0

The school follows Rudolph Steiner's philosophy of pedagogy, seeking to meet the basic needs of childhood development via meaningful interaction with the natural world, developing a sense of connection to the larger community, and fostering a culture that will instill a lifetime love of learning. The Steiner philosophy of education is often referred to as 'Waldorf' education, especially overseas. Here is a short video (15 minutes) which outlines the basic philosophy & has a look inside some Steiner schools.

📚 Learning That Goes Deeper

What if students had the time to truly immerse themselves in learning?

At our High School, each day begins with a Main Lesson — a two-hour deep dive into a single subject over several weeks.

This approach allows students to:
🔍 Explore topics in depth
💡 Develop critical thinking
🧠 Build strong understanding and recall

From science and mathematics to history and literature, students engage with the why, not just the what.
