Raphael Wenceslao delivered a confident and mature performance in his Concert Certificate 7 Pianoforte examination during the SCSM midyear examination series in Brisbane, earning the outstanding achievement of 90% (a High Distinction). His accomplished performance reflected both musical maturity and careful preparation. Raphael is a student of Brisbane’s Keyboardkidz Piano School.

Kiaan Salunke impressed the examiner with his strong technique and musical artistry during his Junior Classical Piano examination recently. He was awarded a Higher Distinction with 100%. Kiaan attends lessons at Brisbane's Keyboardkidz Piano School. Congratulations Kiaan and his very proud teacher!

The Preliminary examination is the third elementary level of SCSM examinations after Beginner and Junior. Most basic fundamentals are established by this stage. Congratulations to L-R: Khosi Mokoma (High Distinction); Isaac Tan (Merit) and Michael Yim (High Distinction) for successfully developing their skills to this level. All pianists attend lessons at Keyboardkidz Piano School which has teachers and branches throughout Brisbane. On to Grade 1 now!

Examiners were delighted to award the Licentiate Diploma with Honours to Queensland flautist Maria Brereton during the recent mid-year examination series in Brisbane.
Maria's recital showcased a programme of demanding and artistically compelling repertoire, including Handel's Sonata in B minor, Chaconne (Sigfrid Karg-Elert), Carmen Fantasy (François Borne) and Fantasy Sonata (John Carmichael). Her performance demonstrated the technical mastery, musical insight and interpretative maturity expected of musicians performing at this prestigious level.
Requiring a recital of between 40 and 55 minutes, the Licentiate Performance Diploma recognises a standard of artistry attained by only a select number of accomplished musicians worldwide. It represents a significant milestone in a performer's musical journey, acknowledging not only exceptional technical command but also the artistic depth and professionalism demanded of advanced recital performance.
