🚂Little artists, big safety messages! 🎨

There were some very proud young artists at TasRail this week as artwork created by children from Thrive Group’s Out of School Hours Care program went on display for Rail Safety Week 2026.

Earlier this year, our children visited TasRail’s East Tamar Workshops to learn about staying safe around trains, railway crossings and the rail corridor. They took those lessons back with them and turned them into some wonderfully colourful creations.

This week, TasRail transformed its foyer into a gallery to showcase their work — with our CEO, Ed Beswick, stopping by to view the artwork and saying a few words to mark the occassion.

“Early learning works best when it connects to the community children actually live in. For a lot of our families, that community has a railway track running through it.
Children of today become the train drivers of tomorrow and even for those who don’t, they need to know how to safety interact with our vital rail corridors to keep themselves and their families safe”.

We’re incredibly grateful to TasRail for welcoming our children, sharing such important safety messages with them and then making them feel pretty special by putting their artwork centre stage.
Community partnerships like this make learning real, memorable and meaningful — and help our children understand that they have a role to play in keeping themselves and others safe.

Thank you TasRail — we loved being part of it! 💛

🎄❤️ Christmas in July with our Family Day Care community ❤️🎄

Recently we had the pleasure of celebrating our wonderful Family Day Care educators with a hearty winter feast, lovingly prepared by our team.

It was a chance to come together, share good food and great company, and most importantly, say thank you to the educators who make such a positive difference in the lives of children and families every day.

💚 We appreciate everything you do for our community! 💚

On Wednesday this week, three of the Thrive Exec Team jumped in the Thrive bus and helped West Tamar Council CEO Kristen Desmond install the Rosie's Reading Book Nook.

Thrive Group is ecstatic that the West Tamar region has been activated for children from birth to five to begin receiving their books in the mail each month. Thrive Group congratulates Rick Marton the RR team on delivering a great event and an amazing outcome for the region 📖📚❤

National Reconciliation Week 2026 ❤️🖤💛

National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect, learn and strengthen our commitment to reconciliation.

At Thrive, this commitment extends beyond a single week. Through everyday experiences, meaningful relationships and inclusive learning environments, we support children to develop respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives.

We acknowledge the Palawa/Pakana people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our services operate across Lutruwita (Tasmania), and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We have loved seeing the thoughtful ways our educators and children have celebrated National Reconciliation Week, including this beautiful collaborative artwork created at our Hagley service.

Together, we continue to learn, listen and walk the path of reconciliation.

❤️🖤💛
