Thrive Group is incredibly proud to support Assembly 197 and their Young Hearts, Big Futures campaign, an inspiring initiative investing in the creativity, confidence and wellbeing of young Tasmanians.
We're $4,940 away from hitting the target on Assembly 197's Young Hearts, Big Futures campaign - and every dollar between here and the finish line is doubled by Creative Australia's Plus1 program.
That means $4,940 from our community unlocks almost $10,000 for young Tasmanians. But only while the match opportunity is live.
Thrive Group has contributed $1,500 to get the campaign moving — and we're asking our community to help close the gap.
Why this campaign matters: through SITUATE and Tasdance's ARTERY program, Young Hearts, Big Futures gives young Tasmanians — especially in our regional communities — the kind of creative opportunity that often disappears after primary school. A stage. A camera. A choreographer's notebook. Someone telling them this is yours. That's what builds the confidence, identity and resilience young people need, and what no classroom alone can deliver.
At Thrive Group, we’ve been supporting Tasmanian children and families since 1975, so backing programs that empower young people through creativity, connection and self-expression is something we deeply believe in.
Two ways to help, today:
1. Donate — $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can — at https://chuffed.org/project/165333-investing-in-creative-futures-for-young-tasmanians (remember, it's matched)
2. Share this post — if you can't give, forward it to one person who can. That's worth as much as a donation.
At Thrive Group, we’ve been supporting Tasmanian children and families since 1975, so backing programs that empower young people through creativity, connection and self-expression is something we deeply believe in.
Together, we're investing in the future of Tasmania. 💛
Young Hearts Big Futures ASSEMBLY197 wants to transform the way that young Tasmanians see themselves, their place in the world, and their future. But we can’t do it without you.

Thrive Group inaugural Sports Gala Day
Over the holidays Thrive brought together children from across our northern services for an exciting Sports Gala Day, proudly delivered in collaboration with the local sporting community.
We were thrilled to welcome GeeTees Netball Club and the Launceston Football Club, both of whom ran engaging clinics and shared their expertise with the children. As proud sponsors of these clubs, it was fantastic to see our partnerships come to life through hands‑on, high‑energy experiences.
These clinics helped children to develop essential physical skills—from hand‑eye coordination, passing and catching to running, balance and whole‑body movement—supporting both fine and gross motor development.
Beyond the sport, these experiences encouraged teamwork, communication, confidence and resilience. By working alongside local clubs, children built meaningful community connections while enjoying fun, active learning in a supportive environment.
Keep an eye out for our Term 2 School Holiday Program being released in mid-June.

On the right track with TasRail
Children from our Newstead service enjoyed learning firsthand how locomotives and wagons come together to form a working train at TasRail’s East Tamar Junction Workshop.
Hands‑on encounters with trains ignited the children’s curiosity, and rail safety videos reinforced important, age‑appropriate conversations about staying safe around trains.
We’re grateful to TasRail for welcoming us and helping keep connections with our local community rolling strong. Partnerships like this enrich our school holiday program and give children meaningful, real‑world learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Keep an eye out for our Term 2 School Holiday Program being released in mid-June.

Thrive Group welcomes ongoing discussion about how Family Day Care regulation can best support quality , flexibility and access for Tasmanian children and families.
Tasmania’s family day care restrictions have raised a significant policy question for the early childhood education and care sector.
According to the article, the state regulator has confirmed that the restriction on dual-educator family day care models is a policy decision aimed at national consistency, rather than an explicit requirement of the National Law or National Regulations.
For affected services, educators and families, that distinction matters.
Abracadabra Family Day Care in Spreyton and Addisons Family Day Care in Latrobe are now facing closure, despite operating physically separate education and care environments on the same property. The article also highlights concerns about limited support for transition, access challenges in underserved communities and broader calls for national reform.
For approved providers, family day care schemes, policymakers and regional communities, this is a story about regulation, access, workforce viability and the practical impact of policy choices.
