I'm not saying it's easy (especially if perfectionism is a profound barrier for you) but I'm saying it's true.

What are your thoughts on this quote?

Mondays are for sharing a jumper with your dog. They’re the closest snuggles you can get!! Susie-Q has pretty much lived inside my jumpers all winter… if we’re had a coaching call via zoom - I can assure you that Susie’s been there incognito…. 😬

So tell me, what are you up to on this fine (very sunny and spring like) Monday? ☀️ 🌸 🐶

Art can be a powerful tool for dwelling on the things we're grateful for. That's definitely what this piece was about.

As the watercolour flowers bloomed across the page and I allowed the ink lines to dance and do their thing - I was thinking of my friend Meg and how darn proud I am of her achieving so much in her first year of business.

This is inspired by her own floristry piece and was a gift to her on her first business birthday.

It was a delight to dwell on how grateful I am for her friendship and to be a part of her business journey. Walking along side her as she grows and flourishes in this beautiful personal and professional life she's creating for herself is an honour.

Happy birthday to you !!!!

When I work with leaders you had better believe we develop the skill of perspective taking!

In fact, I'd dare argue that you can't actually be a great leader without this critical skill.

Anyone care to show their agreement or add an alternative perspective? 😉😝 Drop your thoughts in the comments!

And I’d add to this - later in life ADHD diagnosis. Did you know women are diagnosed 5 years later than men on average?* 🤯 😭

The impact of this is significant - even though women are experiencing symptoms, they tend to knuckle down, suck it up and keep pushing through. Hence higher burnout rates! They’re pushing through neurodivergence they don’t know they have for 5 whole extra years!!!!!! And more in many cases. 5 is just the average remember.

Delayed diagnosis can increase rates of anxiety and depression, and greatly impact self-image, including self-worth, esteem and confidence.

Burnout sucks. Which is exactly why I consider it a privileged to coach clients through awareness, understanding, recovery and the lifestyle change and self-understanding to sustain it.

What are your thoughts on this stat and the info above? I’d love to hear your take. Let me know in the comments or send me a DM to chat.

Art isn’t all about the outcome - for me lately it’s been about mindfulness, being present in the process.

Art is…
Play and strategy
Mindfulness and distraction
Slow and fast
Planned and intuitive
Ugly and beautiful
Mistakes and intention

The fact that it’s so dynamic is exactly why it’s the perfect vehicle for mindfulness, creativity and play.

I’d ask you what you think of this current piece I’m working on but I don’t need you to like it, because I’m enjoying creating it!!
