Still high from their 5/5 win at comps - the team was back in the studio today preparing for their next adventure, dressed to impress for book week!

Finally back to the studio after 4 days of comps to find our Local business award had been dropped in as we were unable to attend awards night due to students being at competitions. Coupled with our awards from our successful groups at The St. Cecilia Productions Tasmania performance challenge makes us very proud of our team!

Thanks The Examiner Newspaper, Launceston for these snaps of our students in their happy place 😇 at the St. Cecilia Productions Tasmania performance challenge.

Reflections on St. Cecilia Productions Tasmania performance challenge 2026!
60 solo / duet entries (all in attendance)
5 group items
I was there for it all - all 37 hours at comps
I accompanied 42 items, sang in 10 duets, played my flute for 1 group, performed in 2 vocal groups and watched 6 piano solos.
Amazingly the final tally stood at
🥇22, 🥈14, 🥉2, and 🎀 4. Total of 42.
And 2 Barratts Awards.
None of this would be possible without the St Cecilia Examinations Intl. School, Michael Stocks, Matthews Tyson and the team of amazing volunteers.
Thank you to Sam Braun and Richard Tilley for the additional accompaniment I couldn’t do cos I was already on stage doing something else.
Thanks to Miss Jeannie and Miss Zoe who helped with child mind, costume changes and general team boosting!
Thanks to our sponsor Rob Fairs Foundation who came along and supported us on Saturday and all the mums, dads, nans, pops and friends who made up our cheer squad.
My favourite moment was our groups winning all 5 sections they entered but also having the adjudicator comment that he loved watching my students perform as not only were they of a high standard, but they just looked so filled with joy to be on the stage, in their happy place - doing what they love.
With that said - I’m going to bed - we have rehearsals tomorrow for our upcoming exams! 🤣
