Our trainer and assessor, Lisa Farmer, has recently been spending time at the Southcentral Workforce Network Jobs Hub in Pontville, delivering two programs for local community members.
Lisa's 14 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management learners have made impressive progress. They're pictured here completing their 'Emotional Intelligence at Work' unit.
Then last Thursday, Lisa commenced 13 students in our Certificate III in Business program. Bringing together learners with a variety of experience and backgrounds has created some great opportunities for shared learning and discussion.
A special thank you to De Arne and the team at the SWN Jobs Hub, who have been integral in getting these programs up and running and helping make them such a success.
It's really valuable for our Learners to have the opportunity to access training within their local community, in places where people live and work.

Congratulations to Kathleen Smith and Claire Stark, who received their diplomas at one of our monthly graduation morning teas in our Hobart office today.
Kathleen has completed her Diploma of Human Resource Management, and her mum Jan was there to see her graduate. Claire has completed her Diploma of Leadership and Management, pictured with her daughter Freya. Both studied with NDA Trainer and Assessor Lisa Farmer.
Qualifications like these strengthen the human resources and leadership skills Tasmanian workplaces rely on. That is the work we are here for, and getting to celebrate it over morning tea is a bonus.
We are proud of you both.

Our Managing Director, Karina Stojansek, had her birthday yesterday, so this morning we celebrated with her over morning tea at our Launceston office.
Halfway through, our CEO, Warren Ferrari, stepped away to his office and reappeared with a bouquet of native flowers for her. Safe to say she loved them.
Culture is very important to us at NDA, and it's even more important that we lead by example. For the past 31 years, Karina has been setting the tone, a testiment in part is her generosity of heart. Today it was nice to give a little back.
Happy birthday, Karina, from everyone at NDA!

Introducing Saffron Pickering, the youngest student ever to train with NDA, at just 15!
Saffron is completing her Certificate III in Business (BSB30120) while balancing her homeschooling studies, and her progress has been remarkable. She recently sat down with our CEO, Warren Ferrari, to reflect on her journey so far.
Saffron demonstrates that quality training can be shaped around your circumstances, whatever your age or stage of life.

"NDA gave me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone, continue my learning journey, and believe that I could achieve more than I thought possible."
Few things give us greater pride than sharing the stories of the people who train with us, and Aki Chang's is a particularly special one. Our CEO, Warren Ferrari, travelled down to interview Aki in person, because knowing our learners as individuals is woven into how NDA operates.
Aki chose NDA because she preferred to study in person, and because our reputation kept surfacing in her community. From her very first class, the calibre of support proved decisive:
"The support from everyone at NDA has been exceptional. The classroom culture creates an environment where learning feels safe, engaging and encouraging. The learning materials are also highly accessible, particularly for people who have English as a second language."
And Aki did not stop at one course. She went on to complete a Diploma of Human Resource Management, a Diploma of Business, and a Diploma of Leadership and Management with NDA.
The outcome? Renewed confidence in communication, sharper critical thinking, and the conviction to pursue opportunities aligned with what she truly wants to do.
When we asked Aki what she would say to someone weighing up training with NDA: "I highly recommend NDA. The knowledge shared is extensive, highly relevant and immediately applicable to both work and life."
Congratulations Aki! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.

In partnership with the Southcentral Workforce Network, NDA is training 15 people in a Certificate IV in Leadership & Management at the Southcentral Workforce Network Jobs Hub in Brighton.
Our amazing Trainer and Assessor, Lisa Farmer, has been leading the group, and we couldn't be prouder of how everyone has thrown themselves into it!
This cohort brings together people from some fantastic Tasmanian workplaces, including Andrew Walter Constructions, SRT Logistics, Tasmanian Botanics, Oatlands Aquatic Centre (Southern Midlands Council), and Banjo's Bakery Cafe. Seeing people from so many different industries learning side by side has been a real highlight.
Last Wednesday our CEO Warren Ferrari popped in for a visit and was blown away by the engagement and the amazing learning taking place.
Thank you to the Southern Workforce Network and to every employer investing in their team's future. 👏
