OLA NORTH WEST REUNION | Thank you to all who joined us for the 2026 Old Launcestonians’ Association North West Reunion Lunch.

Held in Ulverstone, the event was a wonderful opportunity for our alumni to reconnect, share stories and strengthen the lifelong bonds that make our Grammar community so special.

A highlight of the afternoon was hearing from Mark Westfield (1970), who reflected on his time at Grammar and shared insights from his distinguished career in journalism.

Events like this highlight the importance of our alumni network and the lasting connections formed during time at School. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and engagement of our Old Launcestonians.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, we look forward to the next opportunity to bring our community together 💙🖤🤍

Congratulations to members of our Grammar community who recently completed the PedalCure4MND, a five-day cycling adventure raising vital funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease.

Among those who took part were Fiona Woolcock (1990, Board Chair), Sam Woolcock (1988), Henry Woolcock (2022), past parent Anthony Loone, and current parent and Board member Dallas Frost.

The group cycled more than 600km across South Australia, travelling through the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale, and tackling iconic climbs including Willunga Hill and Mount Lofty.

A wonderful achievement for a powerful cause, well done to everyone involved for supporting vital MND research. 💙🖤🤍

Congratulations to Grammar alumnus Mark Leis (1991), now a World Mountain Biking Champion!

Jane alum Mark Leis is a World Champion! 🚵

Earlier this year he powered to victory in the Masters 5 (50–54) category at the UCI 2025 XCO Masters World Championships.

Mark’s love for mountain biking began back in his uni days at Jane.

When Bryce Courtenay visited Jane and encouraged students to "have a dream," Mark decided to aim for the Olympics.

That dream eventually took him to the world championship podium!

Congrats Mark! 🏆👏

Winning Northern Gateway artwork endorsed 28/10/2025

We’re excited to share that alumna, Katie Stackhouse (1995), has won the community vote for Launceston’s Northern Gateway artwork with her piece, Sky Vessels! Over 1,000 people voted, and Katie’s design narrowly claimed victory.

The installation will mark the city’s entrance on the Midland Highway’s Southern Outlet and has been described by Mayor Matthew Garwood as “bold, creative and a real reflection of Launceston’s spirit.” Katie says her sculptural forms are “vessels for environmental knowledge,” and it’s an honour to create a permanent piece celebrating our city and its landscapes.

The project is fully funded by the State Government and will be installed in late 2026. Let’s celebrate Katie’s incredible achievement and the creativity of our Grammar community - Congratulations Katie!

Winning Northern Gateway artwork endorsed The City of Launceston has endorsed Sky Vessels by Katie Stackhouse as the winning artwork concept for the city’s landmark Northern Gateway project — a major public art commission that will create a visually compelling arrival point at Launceston's entrance.

Huge congratulations to alumna, Senior Constable Annabel Shegog (nee Scott) (1985) who has been named the inaugural recipient of the Keith Smith Community Policing Award.

Named in honour of Constable Keith Smith, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty earlier this year, the award recognises officers who go beyond traditional policing to build trust, foster partnerships, and strengthen their communities.

Congratulations, Senior Constable Shegog, your work embodies the same spirit of service and connection that we value at Grammar and which Constable Smith exemplified throughout his career. 💙🖤🤍
