📣Hey Musago Academy drummers,

It's been a while since we've put on a workshop. But we're excited to announce our upcoming drum workshop.

We'll be heading to Barratts music to explore cymbals for acoustic kits.

The night is FREE for Academy drummers and is a great opportunity to meet fellow drum students and learn some things we don't cover in our normal classes.

The night will include:

⭐️Demonstrations and performances
⭐️The opportunity to try some gear
⭐️A 20min info session on cymbals
⭐️ A chance to mingle and explore the Barratts Music wonderland.

Spaces are limited so please respond to the RSVP Form Levi has sent out (if you haven't already).

👉 Monday 15th of June (Doors open at 6:00pm)
👉 Finish time: ~ 7:00pm (approx)
👉 At Barratts Music (104 George St Launceston) Not at the Musago Academy. 😉
👉 Please bring your preferred ear protection, such as ear muffs or ear plugs. Some disposable ear plugs can be provided.
👉 Wear your armband

We have the 3 reward option and the 30 day streak option.

3 reward option: This one is focussed on building the practice habit. Do 5 practises and then get a reward, then 10, then 17. You can decide with your child (or yourself) what your reward will be.

We also have the 30 day streak version. Similar idea but you need to get 30 days straight.

This month, we've been thinking about how to help encourage music practise at home for students who need a little bit of extra help. ⭐️

They say that forming a long term habit takes around 21 days so
the idea behind this is give a student 30 opportunities to develop their practise habit with rewards along the way.

The advantage of this is the student or parent/carer can have a say in what the rewards are, meaning more personalised motivation. 🏆

The trick is to pick a great reward for the bottom row, then two simpler rewards for the rows above.
