🌿 October Calmbirth Refresher Course 🌿

Sunday 4th October & Sunday 11th October
⏰ 10:00am – 1:00pm
Calmbirth with Cherie - Launceston | Tasmania

If you've completed Calmbirth before and are now preparing to welcome another baby, our refresher course is the perfect opportunity to pause, reconnect, and prepare for your next birth journey.

Every pregnancy, every baby, and every birth is different. The Calmbirth Refresher Course gives you and your partner dedicated time to reconnect with each other, your body, and your goals for this birth. Whether your previous birth experience was positive, challenging, or somewhere in between, this course provides a supportive space to debrief, reflect, heal, reset, and prepare again.

During the course you'll revisit:
✨ The Mind-Body Birth Connection and the stages of labour
✨ Calmbirth techniques to prepare for and work with all births
✨ Your personal goals, preferences, and options for this birth

You'll leave feeling re-inspired, re-centred, confident, and ready to birth again.

Recommended attendance: Between 24–34 weeks of pregnancy. However, if you've left it a little later, you'll still gain enormous benefit from attending.

$350 per couple. Places are limited. Register online www.calmbirthlaunceston.com

Another recipe from our Calmbirth morning tea… and this one was definitely a 10/10 😍

The Molten Chocolate Cake, rich, fudgy and very much like a brownie… YUM! Definitely not a healthy treat this time, but absolutely worth it.

Another lovely relaxing morning spent with mums and bubs, chatting over coffee and cake while the little ones played.

A little bittersweet today too, saying goodbye to two gorgeous girls who have now outgrown our morning teas. Both of their mums came so regularly over the past year, and it’s always sad to see families move on from this stage. One of my favourite parts of these groups is seeing the friendships and connections the mums make with each other, and knowing how supported they’ve felt throughout those first 12 months of motherhood. I know they’ll all keep in touch ❤️

Also feeling very spoiled this week with some beautiful cards and gifts from Calmbirth & Doula families. This never feels like work at all!!

Next Morning Tea: Thursday 2nd July ☕

Calmbirth is not just information...it is transformation.

Our philosophy is simple: there are three roles in birth.

1 - The baby’s role is to navigate through the pelvis and birth canal.
2 - The mother’s role is to open and create space for that journey.
3 - The partner or caregiver’s role is to protect that space, creating calm, safety, and support.

What sets Calmbirth apart is our therapeutic approach, woven through every part of the course. We do not just teach birth facts, we help shift how you think and feel about birth itself.

Rather than telling you not to fear birth, we guide you to release that fear, gently reframing beliefs, mindset, and past experiences. This allows space for calm, confidence, strength, and trust to grow.

This unique therapeutic component cannot be replicated. It is a key reason we see such positive outcomes for couples, supported time and time again by our program research.

Calmbirth respects every birth without advocating for just one way to give birth. Instead, we help you draw on your inner resources to create a positive experience, whatever your birth journey looks like.

Our role is to guide you with knowledge, compassion, and practical tools to bring it all together.

We often say our program goes from head to baby because an open mind supports an open body. Calmbirth helped pioneer the understanding of the mind–body–birth connection, recognising how a woman’s emotional state can influence her ability to give birth.

"Cherie was such a lovely presenter and made the learning experience comfortable and welcoming. She delivered the information in a way that was easy to understand and completely non-judgemental. It was really interesting to learn about how the body naturally works to support labour, I definitely learnt a lot! We especially enjoyed her calming voice during the meditations throughout the course, and the delicious snacks! We are looking forward to practicing and applying the techniques in our birth."

If you haven’t noticed already, things are looking a little different around here. Our website has had a beautiful refresh, and we’re so excited to finally share it with birthing families and caregivers alike.

While the look may have changed, what remains the same is our passion for supporting, informing, and empowering families through pregnancy and birth. We believe childbirth education should be accessible to everyone, so families can feel informed, confident, and safe in the decisions they make for themselves and their babies.

Our mission continues to be one close to our hearts - helping to normalise physiological birth, positively shift birth culture for future generations, and play our part in reducing unnecessary medical intervention and birth trauma.

We deeply believe in the power of birth stories. The raw emotion, strength, vulnerability, teamwork, and transformation that unfolds through every unique birth journey is something truly special, and we hope our new website reflects exactly that.

CALMBIRTH REFRESHER CLASS

Calling all past Calmbirth couples...

Pregnant again and wondering where the time is going this pregnancy? Between toddlers, work, life and everything in between, it can be easy to forget to slow down and reconnect before baby arrives.

This upcoming Calmbirth Refresher is the perfect opportunity to do just that, and honestly, what better excuse for TWO date nights over two weeks?!

📅 Tuesday 2nd June & Tuesday 9th June
⏰ 5.30pm – 8.30pm

Organise someone to watch the child/children, come together as a couple, reconnect, and refocus on this pregnancy and birth journey together.

We’ll revisit all things Calmbirth - breathing, relaxation, mindset, hormones, partner support and practical tools to help you feel calm, connected and prepared heading into birth again.

The ideal time to attend is around 24–34 weeks pregnant, you are very welcome to attend earlier in your pregnancy too. And remember, it’s never too late! I’ve even had couples attend with only ONE week to go before meeting their baby 💛

This is an investment not only in preparing physically for birth, but emotionally too. A chance to pause, reconnect and head into this next birth feeling supported and confident together.

Investment: $350 per couple

Register via my website, I'd love to have you back in my class.
