The energy, encouragement and community spirit shown by our students and families made the day so special. Every student gave it their all and showed incredible grit and determination out on the course.
A huge congratulations to Ossa, who claimed their first Cross Country win in years!

Today’s ANZAC Day service, led by our Legacy Leavers, was a meaningful and respectful tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
We were especially fortunate to welcome Mai Frandsen, a current serving member of the Australian Army, who generously took the time to speak with students and answer their questions. Her insights and experiences made the day even more impactful and memorable.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising this special event, and to our school community for showing such thoughtful reflection and respect on this important day.
Lest we forget. 🌺

We were fortunate to welcome Legacy Guest Leader, Brandon Krapf, an American who now proudly calls Tasmania home. Brandon spoke with our students about what success looks like to him, sharing stories from his personal journey and the lessons he has learned through hardship, purpose, and perseverance. His reflections on leadership, GRIT and growth were inspiring and offered valuable insight for our budding leaders at The LPS.

Our library doors swung open this morning and, like a good story, people just kept arriving ✨
We were so delighted to welcome so many family members in to celebrate 'Tasmania Reads!' with us, thanks to Libraries Tasmania. There was a gentle hum in the air, pages turning, imaginations whirring, and just a little bit of bookish magic tucked into every corner.
Exactly how a library should feel! 🪄

Josh, co-founder of JCP Youth , came in to visit our 2026 Legacy leaders last Friday.
It was a thrill to be in the presence of passion, humility and a deep care for the success of young people. Josh spoke about the program’s humble beginnings and gave us insight as to the level of inspirational support they offer youth across the state. To summarise the session – he spoke about his favourite quote:
“Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world, because it is the only thing that ever has”.
Our Super 7 (Fab 5 on Friday) will explore just how bigger impact they can have this year, with the guidance of people like Josh. Thanks so much, Josh – it was amazing!

We’re still glowing from the excitement of our Grand Opening & Welcome to 2026 Celebration last Friday! 🎉✨
What an incredible night filled with laughter, connection, and community. A highlight of the evening was our ribbon cutting ceremony, proudly led by current students Teddi (EL) and Amelia (Group 6), alongside four of our past principals. It was a beautiful symbol of our history, leadership, and bright future coming together in one unforgettable moment.
From the celebrations to the meaningful conversations, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to open our doors and step into 2026 together.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, showed love, and made the evening so special. Your support means everything to us, and we’re beyond excited for what this year has in store. This is just the beginning!
Here’s to new beginnings, big dreams, and an unforgettable 2026 🥂
