Yr 2 Excursion – QV Museum.
Students visited the museum to look at and examine Aboriginal artifacts, covering changes and uses of materials.
There was also a focus on sharing history, culture, and perspectives to foster an understanding of local Indigenous culture, including creation stories, technology, and connection to country.

Did you know that we have students volunteer to visit our friends next door at Mt Esk Aged Care facility, in their own time at lunchtime?

Mrs Verbeeten takes a different group of students over each week and today's shared activity was a word search!

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is an annual Australian campaign that encourages children to read and enjoy books by having a chosen picture book read all at once across the country.

The book this year was 'Luna Roo:The Kangaroo Baller' by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd.

Our year 6 students visited the classes and all read the book at 12 midday today.

Catholic Education Tasmania is hosting a series of consultation workshops with selected schools in Tasmania as part of its process for developing the 2030 strategic direction for Tasmanian Catholic Schools. Larmenier Catholic School was one of the selected schools.

Executive Director Dr Terry McCarthy and special consultant Chris Smyth met with staff, students and parents to discuss and explore the strategic direction for Catholic Education Tasmania.

It was a great opportunity for Larmenier to share what we value as a community and what opportunities there are for growth as a Catholic system into the future.
