🚀✨ Reaching for the Stars During Science Week! ✨🚀

Our funded kinder room has been getting curious, creative and connecting with our vision during Science Week! 🌟🔬

The children worked together to design and create their very own rocket ship 🚀, using their imaginations, problem-solving skills and teamwork to bring their ideas to life.
But the learning didn’t stop there! The children also chose photos that represented things they have learned, explored and achieved this year. 📸💛 It was wonderful to hear them talk about their experiences and proudly share just how much they have grown.

From discovering new ideas to developing confidence, independence and a love of learning, our little astronauts are truly reaching for the stars! 🌙⭐

Future Foodies Mini Cooking Crew 🚀🍓

Last week, our Future Foodies Mini Cooking Crew isorireprogram came to life as part of our Science Week celebrations! 🔬✨

Our toddlers had so much fun exploring the connection between food, creativity and science as they designed and created their very own rocket ships using a variety of fresh fruit and marshmallows. 🚀🍇🍓

This hands-on experience encouraged the children to use their imagination, make choices, experiment with different foods and develop their fine-motor skills — all while having lots of fun!

Our Future Foodies experience reflects our centre vision “ A safe place for empowered learners to connect, trust and grow’

It was wonderful to see our little chefs proudly showcase their creations and enjoy the process of making, experimenting and learning together. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🚀

Science Week brought lots of curiosity, wonder and messy fun!🧬🔬🧫🥼

During our sensory messy play session, the children became little scientists as they explored colour, texture, movement and change through hands-on experiments.
Our first experiment explored oil and coloured milk in purple, pink, yellow and green. Before beginning, educators encouraged the children to make predictions about what might happen when the coloured milk was added to the oil. The children watched closely as the drops moved through the oil, creating different patterns before settling and interacting with the liquid underneath.

This introduced the children to the idea that different liquids have different properties and do not always mix together.
The children then explored cornflour, conditioner and shaving cream. They enjoyed scooping, mixing, squeezing and squishing the ingredients, noticing how the texture and consistency changed as the materials combined. The children used their senses to investigate and shared their observations and discoveries with educators and peers.

Throughout the experience, the children demonstrated curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm for experimenting. They made predictions, explored cause and effect, developed problem-solving skills and used language to describe what they could see and feel.

🐻🌈 We’re Going on a Teddy Bear Hunt! 🌈🐻

There’s something extra special about when our Centre Manager Krystal steps into the room and joins our little learners for group time! 💛

Today, our toddlers went on a very exciting Teddy Bear Hunt! 🐻🔎 Our Centre Manager had hidden lots of little coloured teddy bears around the room, and together we searched high and low to find them all!

Once our teddies were safely collected, we gathered together on the mat to talk about what we had discovered. We named the different colours, compared our teddies and shared our ideas with one another. 🌈✨
What made this experience even more special was the connection created along the way.

Our little learners had the opportunity to engage with their Centre Manager, build confidence, share their voices and learn through play in a safe and nurturing environment. 🥰

💛 Mini Future Foodies Cooking Crew 🍫👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Last week, all three of our kindergarten rooms had been busy in the kitchen creating delicious chocolate cake popsicles! From mixing and rolling to dipping and decorating, our children embraced every step of the process with enthusiasm and teamwork.
While learning new cooking skills was lots of fun, the most important lesson wasn't about baking—it was about kindness.

❤️ Our children explored what it means to do something thoughtful for someone else, discovering the joy that comes from giving without expecting anything in return.

To share that kindness, our little chefs lovingly placed their homemade cake popsicles in our Busy Parent Pantry, offering families a sweet surprise to enjoy at pick-up.

A small act of kindness can make a big difference, and we're so proud of the empathy, generosity, and community spirit our children have shown.

🧪✨ MAD SCIENTIST AFTERNOON TEA! 🔬🍭

Today we celebrated Science Week with a little bit of magic, a whole lot of fun, and our wonderful families! 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬💛

Our families were treated to a delicious Mad Scientist Afternoon Tea, featuring:
🥣 Yogurt & granola cups
🍬 Rock candy cupcakes
🍓 Fresh fruit cups
🍫 Chocolate cake popsicles
🌙 Moon rock cookies

From tasty experiments to curious conversations, it was the perfect way to come together, connect and celebrate the wonder of learning! 🔬✨

✨ Learning, laughter, and a whole lot of connection! 💚

Once a month, our incredible team of educators comes together for an evening of Learning & Development, investing in themselves so they can continue providing the very best for our children and families.

This month's session was extra special because it was designed from our educators' own feedback—focusing on the areas they wanted to grow in. Together, we explored Trauma-Informed Practice and continued our Journey to Connection, strengthening the relationships that sit at the heart of everything we do.

The night was filled with hands-on activities, team challenges, meaningful conversations, plenty of laughs, and moments of reflection. It's amazing to see a team so passionate about learning, growing, and supporting one another.

Because when educators continue to learn, children continue to thrive. 💚🌿

🧸✨ PJ Party Day Fun! ✨🧸

What a wonderful day of warmth, laughter and cosy adventures! 💛

Our educators and children all came dressed to impress in their favourite PJs, filling the centre with fluffy slippers, comfy onesies and plenty of smiles. From building magical blanket forts to enjoying delicious pancake picnics together, every moment was filled with fun, imagination and connection.

Days like today remind us that some of the best learning happens when children feel safe, comfortable and surrounded by people who make them feel at home. Through play, conversations and shared experiences, we created memories that will last long after the pyjamas are packed away.

Thank you to all our families and educators for embracing the fun and helping make our PJ Party Day such a cosy success! 💙🏕️🥞

Our little learners have been busy matching shapes while building important early learning skills. Through play, children developed their shape recognition, problem-solving, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

This experience aligns with the EYLF by supporting Outcome 4 – Confident and Involved Learners as children investigate and solve problems, and Outcome 5 – Effective Communicators as they build early mathematical language and concepts.

Learning through play creates strong foundations for future success! 💛
