🌈 A morning of messy making, experimenting and play at Currambena STEAM Playgroup!

Last week our little explorers got hands-on with:

☁️ Making the softest cloud dough with cornflour and hair conditioner
🎨 Slippery painting under cling film, with endless drawing and swirling using cotton buds
🥚 Creating art with egg cartons
🧲 Exploring magnetic play
🥖 Baking our usual bread together
🎶 Singing songs
🧤 Settling in for the puppet story The Mitten

Each week brings something different, with plenty of room for children to explore materials, follow their curiosity and see what happens.

Currambena STEAM Playgroup is run in partnership with The W.O.W. Project and is open to everyone in the wider community.

Across three creative days, children have been diving into the worlds of comics, animation and storytelling, bringing their ideas to life through a range of exciting projects!

🌈 🫟Get messy, get curious, get exploring!

We’re excited to introduce Currambena STEAM Playgroup — a relaxed, hands-on playgroup where little ones can squish, splash, mix, build, pour, create and discover on the beautiful grounds of our school ☔️ rain or ☀️ shine!

Delivered in partnership with The W.O.W. Project, our weekly Wednesday sessions bring sensory and messy play together with STEAM, giving children ages 0–6 the freedom to explore materials, experiment with what happens and follow their own curiosity. Following the tradition, there will be 🎶songs, 🥖bread baking and 🧚🏻 🐉 📖 puppet storytelling.

Think gooey textures, colourful experiments, water play, building, mixing, making and plenty of opportunities to get hands-on! 🫧🎨💧🧪

And the best part? There’s no right or wrong way to play! Explore the Currambena approach to education through play based learning, get to see our community in action, ask questions and enjoy spending your morning with us.

Last Wednesday, children from across our Primary School came together to perform at the Lane Cove Loneliness Awareness Week event at the Lane Cove Plaza.

Looking for something to do with your little one tomorrow? The Currambena Playgroup is back!

Join us from 9:30–11am every Wednesday during term for a relaxed morning with toys, activities, and space for little ones to play while parents connect. Open to everyone, not just Currambena families, and suitable for babies and children up to 5.

No booking needed. Gold coin donation welcome.
