๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ PIRATE DAY TOMORROW โ˜ ๏ธ

Landsdale Primary School is proud to once again take part in Pirate Day on Friday 15 May, helping to raise vital funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer research. Students are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite pirate attire and make a donation to support this very worthy cause.

On the same day, we will also be celebrating National Walk Safely to School Day. We encourage students and families to walk to school where possible to promote healthy habits, road safety awareness, reduced traffic congestion and an active start to the day.

Join us at 8:15am at Samโ€™s Park as we walk to school together! ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

As part of the dayโ€™s celebrations, we will also be recognising Thank a Traffic Warden Day and extending our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful traffic wardens. Their care, dedication and friendly smiles help keep our students and families safe each and every day, and we are incredibly grateful for all that they do for our school community. ๐Ÿ’›

| PBS UPDATE ๐Ÿ“ข|

This fortnight, our PBS focus is: We Use Active Listening Skills. Students have been learning that listening can look different for different people, from asking questions and following instructions to quietly fidgeting while concentrating. Our goal is for all students to feel included, respected and ready to learn. Attached are photos of some of our students practising their active listening skills during class time.

โœจ Kindy 2027 Enrolments at Landsdale Primary School โœจ

At Landsdale Primary School, we believe every childโ€™s learning journey should begin with understanding who they are first. ๐Ÿ’›

Thatโ€™s why we offer our unique SEEDS process โ€” the School Entry Evaluation of Developmental Skills โ€” as part of our enrolment experience. Conducted by our Deputy Principal and School Psychologist, SEEDS helps us get to know your childโ€™s strengths, interests and individual needs before they even begin school.

Through fun, age-appropriate and evidence-based activities, we build a holistic picture of your child across areas such as:
๐ŸŒฑ Communication
๐ŸŒฑ Fine and gross motor skills
๐ŸŒฑ Problem solving
๐ŸŒฑ Social and emotional development

Importantly, SEEDS is NOT a test and there is no pass or fail. It is a supportive, strengths-based process designed to help children transition confidently into school life.

By taking the time to truly understand each child, we can:
โœจ Support a smooth and positive start to school
โœจ Plan responsive learning programs
โœจ Provide early support where needed
โœจ Build strong partnerships with families from day one

At Landsdale PS, we donโ€™t just prepare children for school โ€” we partner with families to ensure every child feels known, supported and ready to thrive. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“ Kindy 2027 enrolments are now open.

Lest we forget.

Photos from Landsdale Primary School's post 24/04/2026

Today, we gathered to remember.

Tomorrow, Australians and New Zealanders will mark ANZAC Day, the 111th anniversary of the first ANZAC landings at Gallipoli in 1915.

But today, as a school community, we paused ahead of that day to reflect on what it truly means.

Because ANZAC Day is not just about dates or battles.

It is about people.
It is about stories.
Stories of courage.
Stories of sacrifice.

And stories of connection, between those who served and those who waited for them at home.

Special thanks to Mayor Linda Aitken, Mr Daniel Pastorelli, Mr Driscoll, Mrs Holland, our P&C, Ministers & Choir as well as our school community who attended today.

Lest we forget.

** We would like to take this opportunity to remind our school community that it is a public holiday on Monday. Students will return to school on Tuesday, 28 April 2026 **
