Happy Educatorsโ€™ Day to our amazing team at Tall Tree Early Learning Landsdale! Thank you for creating beautiful learning experiences and making a difference in our little onesโ€™ lives every day! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’

To celebrate today in our Babies Room, the children enjoyed a fun and engaging matching activity! ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿงฉ The babies were encouraged to look carefully, explore the different pictures of their educators and find the matching activity. Through play, they developed their curiosity, concentration, visual recognition and early problem-solving skills. ๐Ÿฅฐ

This simple experience provided opportunities for our little learners to explore, make connections and learn through hands-on play. Another example of our incredible educators inspiring everyone and thinking outside the box.

๐Ÿ“š Celebrating Book Week in Pre-Kindy! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

What a wonderful week of stories, imagination and creativity we have shared in our Pre-Kindy room as we celebrated Book Week! ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’›

Each day, the children explored a special story and then extended their learning through meaningful conversations, hands-on experiences and creative art activities. We have loved watching the children become immersed in each story, sharing their ideas, making connections and expressing their creativity.

๐Ÿ› The Very Hungry Caterpillar
We explored the journey of the caterpillar and talked about food, colours, counting and the changes that happen as a caterpillar grows. The children then used creative materials to represent their own caterpillars.

๐Ÿป We're Going on a Bear Hunt
The children joined in with the familiar words and actions of this much-loved story. We talked about the different environments in the story and explored movement, sounds and sensory experiences as we imagined going on our own bear hunt.

๐ŸฆŒ Bambi
Through Bambi, the children explored the natural world, animals and friendship. We talked about the characters and their surroundings before creating our own artwork inspired by the woodland environment.

๐Ÿฆ’ Giraffes Can't Dance
This beautiful story encouraged conversations about confidence, individuality and celebrating what makes each of us special. The children explored rhythm and movement before expressing their ideas through creative art experiences.

Throughout the week, books have provided opportunities for the children to listen, communicate, imagine, create, problem-solve and connect with others. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’•

Learning Outcomes:
๐ŸŒฑ Outcome 1 โ€“ Children have a strong sense of identity: developing confidence to express ideas, make choices and share their creativity.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Outcome 5 โ€“ Children are effective communicators: engaging with stories, building language and vocabulary, listening to others and communicating their thoughts and ideas.

What a beautiful reminder that every story opens the door to new possibilities for learning and imagination. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ We hope our little readers continue to discover the joy, wonder and magic that lives within the pages of a book! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ“š

๐Ÿฆทโœจ Celebrating Dental Health Week at Our Early Learning Centre! โœจ๐Ÿฆท

This week, our children have been busy exploring the importance of healthy teeth and happy smiles as we celebrated Dental Health Week! From our youngest babies through to our Kindy children, our educators created engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences to help children develop positive oral health habits that will support them for life.

We were also delighted to provide our families with Dental Health Packs to take home! These packs are a wonderful way to extend children's learning beyond the classroom, encouraging families to continue practising healthy oral hygiene habits together at home. Working in partnership with families helps reinforce the importance of lifelong health and wellbeing.

At our centre, we believe that everyday learning experiences help build lifelong healthy habits. By making dental health fun, engaging and meaningful, we are empowering children to care for their bodies with confidence and independence.

A huge thank you to our dedicated educators for creating enriching experiences that inspire healthy smiles every day, and to our families for supporting their children's learning both at the centre and at home! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’ฌ Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators โ€“ Through stories, songs, conversations and role play, children expanded their vocabulary and shared their ideas and experiences about dental health.

๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ Welcoming Djilba ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒป

This week at Tall Tree Early Learning Landsdale, we welcomed Djilba, the Noongar season of transformation, growth and new beginnings. As the weather begins to change and the first signs of spring emerge, we took time to learn about the significance of this special season and its connection to Country.

The children in our Toddler 2 Room explored Djilba through a hands-on art experience, using the beautiful colours of the season and natural materials to create their paintings. By painting with leaves, sticks and other nature treasures, the children connected with the environment while expressing their creativity and curiosity.

Throughout the experience, we shared age-appropriate conversations about the meaning of Djilba, helping children develop an appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions and the changing seasons. We are honoured to embed Noongar perspectives into our learning, fostering respect, curiosity and a lifelong connection to Country. ๐Ÿ’›โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ Celebrating Friendship Through Creativity and Connection ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ

This week in our Babies Room, we celebrated Friendship Day on 30th June through meaningful experiences that honoured relationships, creativity, and the wonder of learning together. ๐Ÿ’š

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we invited our babies to explore the possibilities of recycled materials and discover the many ways everyday objects can become something new. With curiosity and imagination, our little artists transformed an old cardboard box into a beautiful friendship flower ๐ŸŒผ, exploring textures, colours and creative expression.

The children also contributed to create our very own Friendship Tree๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŽจ. Through painting and collaborative exploration, each childโ€™s unique mark became part of a shared creation. Our babies reminded us that even the simplest materials can hold endless possibilities when explored with curiosity, imagination, and the support of caring relationships. ๐Ÿ’•โœจ

Learning Outcomes:
๐ŸŒฑ Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity โ€“ developing secure relationships, trust, and a sense of belonging.

๐Ÿ„ "A Cow Called Lola" Comes to Life! ๐ŸŒพ

Our Toddler 1 children have been singing "A Cow Called Lola" every chance they get, so our talented educators decided to bring their favourite song to life through a fun and interactive farm animal experience!

The children were invited to explore a collection of mystery farm animals hidden behind paper. With a torch in hand, they carefully shone the light behind each picture to reveal the hidden animal. There were lots of excited smiles, gasps of surprise, and happy voices as the children recognised the animals from the song and proudly called out their names.

This hands-on experience encouraged the children to explore, investigate, and discover through play while introducing the concept of light and shadow in a simple and engaging way. It also provided many opportunities to build language skills as the children sang along, named the animals, made predictions about what might be hiding, and shared their excitement with their friends and educators.

What a wonderful way to combine music, science, literacy, and play! We love watching the children's interests inspire meaningful learning experiences that create joyful moments and lasting memories. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‘โœจ

Learning Outcomes:
๐ŸŒฑ Outcome 1 โ€“ Children have a strong sense of identity: Children confidently participated in a familiar and enjoyable experience, sharing ideas, taking turns, and celebrating each other's discoveries.
๐Ÿ’ก Outcome 4 โ€“ Children are confident and involved learners: Children explored, investigated, predicted, and discovered how light could reveal the hidden farm animals, developing curiosity and early inquiry skills through play.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Outcome 5 โ€“ Children are effective communicators: Through singing A Cow Called Lola, naming farm animals, and engaging in conversations with educators and peers, children expanded their vocabulary and confidence in communicating their ideas.
