Another term, another country, and another opportunity to share a meal together.

The Learning Through Lunch team took us on a journey to China. Our master chefs researched dishes, created shopping lists, worked within a budget, designed menus and restaurant signs, decorated their restaurant spaces, and set the tables.
They shopped, chopped, cooked, and proudly served the Lal Lal School community. The Learning Through Lunch team delivered their meal with confidence and pride, showcasing the results of their hard work, teamwork, and dedication. It was a wonderful achievement and a meal enjoyed by all.

A massive Thank you to our supporting sous chef’s Maree for your help on cooking day and Narissa for the AMAZING homemade spring rolls.

Donations Needed for Term 3 Art Show

Our school is collecting empty 2‑litre and 3‑litre plastic milk or orange juice bottles, with the lids on, for use in our Term 3 Art Show projects.

Empty bottles can be left in the mailbox at the front of the school.

Thank you for helping us gather materials. Can't wait to see how creative the students can be.

Our school vegetable garden has had the most wonderful makeover recently, thanks to the incredible hard work of the @ Lal Lal Lal Lal Catchment Landcare Group volunteers (Sue & Peter, Lyn, Angie and Reg), Arandt family and the unstoppable energy of Nardia, who has been busy planting a huge variety of fresh vegetables.

We truly couldn’t have done it without the dedication and support of these amazing volunteers. Their time, care, and green thumbs have transformed the space into something we can all be proud of.

We’re so excited to watch everything grow and to use the harvest in our Learning Through Lunch program. Beautiful things happen when community comes together 🌿💚

A huge shout out to for donating garlic to be planted in the garden. The garlic even comes with a quick garlic planting guide so you can't get it wrong.

What a beautiful afternoon we shared on Friday at our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea. Our school community is incredibly lucky to have such caring, generous and inspiring mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who give so much of themselves every day.

The smiles, conversations and laughter made the afternoon feel truly special. We hope you all felt appreciated, celebrated and wrapped in the love of our community.

We hope you enjoyed the homemade presents created with so much excitement, pride and tiny hands. There’s nothing quite like a gift made from the heart.

Wishing all our wonderful mums a Mother’s Day filled with love, rest and joy.

We are so proud of our students who took part in the Lal Lal and Buninyong ANZAC day services. They represented our school with respect and maturity. The school leaders laid a wreath, handed out the home made ANZAC biscuits and delivering a meaningful reading. On Friday our senior students ran our own school ANZAC service demonstrating strong leadership and a deep understanding of the significance of the day.

With the FDR being Extreme tomorrow our school site is closed and all staff will relocate and work from Bungaree PS.

We look forward to welcoming all students back on Wednesday and Thursday.

Last week we said goodbye to a truly remarkable woman. Our hearts are heavy as we learnt of the passing of Ursula Diamond-Keith, a cherished former student and the driving force behind our school’s 150th reunion.

Her love for this community was unmistakable. She poured her energy, her kindness, and her unstoppable spirit into bringing us all back together, reminding us of the friendships, memories, and shared history that shaped us. The reunion simply would not have happened without her vision, determination and hardwork.

Beyond her dedication, Ursula was a warm, generous soul who made everyone feel seen and valued. We are so grateful for the joy she brought into our lives and the legacy she leaves behind.

Our thoughts are with her family and all who loved her. May she rest peacefully, knowing how deeply she will be missed and how brightly her impact will continue to shine.

School’s officially OUT for 2025 and we wrapped it up in the best way possible, an epic water fight to end the year with a splash! 💦 Laughter everywhere, soaked clothes, and memories we’ll be talking about for ages.
Here’s to summer vibes, no alarms, and a well‑earned break. Bring on the holidays! 🎉🌴
