Muharram, The Month of Allah
The only month the Prophet ﷺ called شهر الله (The Month of Allah) is Muharram.
When something is attributed to Allah, it signifies its special honor, status, and virtue. Muharram is yet another opportunity to begin a new chapter with Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best fasting after Ramadan is in Allah’s month, Muharram.”
Start your year with worship, repentance, dhikr, and fasting, especially on the Day of Ashura. A day whose fasting expiates the sins of the previous year by Allah’s mercy.
A strong beginning can lead to a blessed ending. May Allah make this year a year of guidance, forgiveness, and closeness to Him.

The Messenger ﷺ said:
“Every morning, charity is due on each joint of one of you. Every glorification of Allah is charity, every praise of Allah is charity, every declaration that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah is charity, every declaration of Allah’s greatness is charity, enjoining the good is charity, forbidding the evil is charity. And two Rakaat prayed in the forenoon (Dhua prayer) are sufficient for all of that.”
There are 360 joints in the human body, and a charity is due for each of them every day as a way of showing gratitude to Allah for these blessings. Subhanallah is a charity, Alhamdulilah is a charity, Allahu Akbar is a charity, encouraging good is charity, etc.
And from Allah’s immense mercy, He has made two light and easy Rakaat of Duha prayer sufficient to cover the charity due for all 360 joints.
So do not deprive yourself of this great daily blessing and opportunity to earn goodness.
Before You Open the Quran, Fix This
A sin is not just disobedience. It also carries a form of disrespect toward Allah ﷻ. Because you sinned while Allah was watching, while He was hearing, while He was providing for you, blessing you, and showing you mercy every second of your life.
So after committing a sin, alongside seeking Allah’s forgiveness, we should also say سبحان الله (Subhanallah), why?
Because Subhanallah means Allah is far above every flaw, imperfection, and disrespect.
It is as though the believer says: “My sin does not diminish Allah’s perfection in any way. Allah is perfect, pure, and above what I have done.”
This is why, whenever Allah is spoken of with dishonor in the Quran, the response is always,
“They say Allah has taken a son, Subhaanah (Perfection be to Him).”
Every act of disrespect toward Allah is cleansed with, Subhanallah.

You Never Had a Time Problem.
Track your day from morning to night. How much time was unavailable, and how much was lost to mindless scrolling?
Most of us don’t lack time, we actually waste it. Hours disappear in endless doom scrolling, yet we say we can’t find time for the Quran.
Uthman رضي الله عنه said: “If the heart were pure, it would never have enough of the Quran.”
The issue isn’t time. It’s the distractions. Imagine craving the Quran the way we crave our phones. A purified heart seeks what benefits it and never gets enough.
Solution: Start small, replace just 10 minutes of scrolling each day with 10 minutes of Quran. Consistency purifies the heart, and what feels difficult today becomes easy tomorrow.
The Night Prayer, A Cure for the Physical Body
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Adhere to the night prayer, for it was the practice of the righteous before you. It brings you closer to Allah, prevents sin, removes sins, and drives disease away from the body.” (Sahih Al-Jami: 4079).
While many seek cures through worldly means alone, this Prophetic guidance teaches us that the night prayer carries blessings that reach both the heart and the physical body.
If there’s one voluntary act worth being consistent with, it’s this, even if it’s just two Rakaat before Fajr.

The Real Reason You’re Bored of the Quran
Whoever seeks Allah’s forgiveness in the last part of the night, even if only once, will be counted among those whom Allah praised when He said:
وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالْأَسْحَارِ
“…and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.”
