Every time you sit down to study, attend a class, or open a book with the right intention, you are worshipping Allah. 🤍

The Prophet ﷺ reminded us that the path to knowledge is a path to Jannah. So whether it’s a long commute to school, a late night revision session, or pushing through a difficult concept – know that Allah sees every effort and makes the way easier for those who sincerely seek.

Set your intention before you learn. Let every lesson be more than just a grade, let it be a step closer to Allah. 📖✨

Student Leadership in Action!

Rissalah College Student Representative Council recently embarked on an inspiring Leadership Trip, filled with opportunities for growth, teamwork, and personal development.
Throughout the trip, our student leaders participated in engaging activities, challenges, and discussions designed to strengthen their leadership skills, build confidence, and foster meaningful connections with one another. The experience encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones, collaborate effectively, and reflect on the values of service, responsibility, and positive leadership.
We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, maturity, and commitment demonstrated by our SRC members. These experiences help shape the leaders of tomorrow and empower them to make a positive impact within our school community and beyond.
A big thank you to the Ms Dib for organising a beautiful and perfectly planned trip. We look forward to seeing our student leaders continue to grow and inspire others throughout the year.

🔬 Our Year 12 Biology students visited the Museum of Human Disease at UNSW and had an amazing time!

🏛️ 🧠Students explored over 1,500 preserved human tissue specimens, examining real-world examples of conditions including tuberculosis, atherosclerosis, cirrhosis, and various cancers. Seeing the physical impact of disease brought their classroom learning to life allowing them to make connections between theory and real world experience.

The visit included a presentation from museum staff, followed by structured activities that challenged students to apply their biological knowledge to genuine case studies.

🌟 It was incredible to see the level of scientific thinking on display. Well done, Year 12! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

Year 12 Chemistry students recently visited the School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney for a hands-on spectroscopy excursion.📈

Students had the opportunity to analyse and generate spectra using four key techniques: Mass Spectrometry, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), UV-Visible, and Infrared Spectroscopy. Each method provided students with direct insight into the structure and properties of chemical compounds.🧪⚗️

Working within a university research environment, students applied and extended their HSC Chemistry knowledge in a meaningful context. This experience allowed them to apply classroom theory to professional scientific practice.👩‍🔬📊

Legal Studies Students Explore New South Wales’s Legal and Political Institutions

Year 11 and Year 12 Legal Studies students recently participated in an educational excursion to two of Sydney’s most significant historical and political sites: Hyde Park Barracks and Parliament of New South Wales.

The excursion began at Hyde Park Barracks, where students explored Australia’s colonial history and examined the experiences of convicts during the early settlement period. Through immersive exhibits and guided learning activities, students gained a deeper understanding of the origins of Australia’s legal system and the evolution of laws and punishments over time.

Students then travelled to Parliament House, where they had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the structure and operation of the New South Wales Parliament. A major focus of the visit was the role of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council in the law-making process. Students learned how bills are debated, reviewed, and passed through both houses of Parliament before becoming law, highlighting the importance of accountability, representation, and democratic processes within the Australian legal system.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Jihad Dib and Sophie Cotsis, who spoke with students about their roles in Parliament and the responsibilities of elected representatives. Students were able to ask questions and gain insight into the realities of political leadership, community representation, and decision-making within government. The experience offered students a valuable and engaging perspective on the connection between law, politics, and society.

The excursion provided students with an invaluable opportunity to extend their classroom learning into real-world contexts. The Legal Studies faculty congratulates all students on their outstanding behaviour, participation, and enthusiasm throughout the day

Sayyid al-Istighfar — The best duʿā of forgiveness, taught to us by the Prophet ﷺ himself. A few sincere lines that carry the weight of a lifetime of repentance.

Recite it every morning and every evening — acknowledging your Lord, your origin, your covenant, and your need for His mercy. And whoever says it with conviction, believing in every word, is promised that if they pass away that day or night, they are among the people of Jannah. 🌿

We all carry mistakes. We all have moments we wish we could undo. But Allah’s mercy is wider than every shortcoming, and He loves the servant who returns to Him — again and again and again. 🙌
