Hi there! I'm Matt Dodd, a music teacher based in Lakemba, Sydney. I offer lessons in Clarinet, Piano & Church Music.
For nearly 12 years now, I've taught Clarinet students of all ages and stages, and have guided students successfully through the AMEB exam curriculum to 8th Grade Level. My clarinet lessons are friendly, fun and professional - and are individually tailored according to you or your children's goals.
I've also played piano my whole life, and offer relaxed and accessible teaching for kids and adults who want to give it a try, or just play for leisure (up to Grade 4 level).
I work part time as an Anglican Minister, and have over 15 years experience in leading Church Congregational Music. Whether you are an experienced classical pianist seeking crossover skills, or a beginner looking to start serving at your church, I offer 5 and 10 week training courses that will provide the technique, knowledge & confidence you need to serve helpfully in your church context. The courses are tailored based on your individual needs - and can also be taught in a group format at your church.
Whilst I live and work in Lakemba, I also teach several students at Merrylands at particular times in the week. Depending on your location and availability, having the lessons at your place may be an option.
