Reminder Lake Wyangan P.S. Centenary Tawny for sale now - Don't miss a bit of history

A limited supply of momento Lake Wyangan Public School Centenary Tawny is available now for sale locally at the Coro Club for $27.50 per bottle. Get it while you can. Huge thanks to Coro Club who will look after the school from sales. Keeping it really simple - bottles can only be sold in person at the bar as take away sales. There is no facility at club to take orders or do mail outs, sorry. Out of town people please use your local family, friends and classmates to get you a bottle from the Coro Club and work out how to collect it from them.

I know Wyanganites who have holiday travel plans to various locations across the state and interstate. We can’t make any guarantees but will try and help work together to get a bottle or two to people without other contacts if you are on a holiday route.

Australia Post have a bottle box approx $6.50-$8 and then postage of approx $13-$18 for much of NSW and Victoria, if friends can’t hand it over directly. Lake Wyangan PS Yowie tree (or Fairy tree to younger students) is much adored by current students and visitors. It's predecessor apparently in the 80's very nearby was Tommy tree or Tommy Face tree?? was near the then adventure playground.
Do you have a photo of Tommy tree or favourite memories story about 'Tommy Tree'.

Principal asks Wyanganite Brains Trust - We missed chance to ask at Centenary if anyone knew who made the wrought iron sign traditionally at entrance to the school? Now heritage item and much loved it was newly powder coated and repositioned for the future school frontage. It first appears behind students in the 1960's class photos with nice white fence. Do you know exactly when it was erected or who made it?

Ex-student Reg Schmetzer enrolled in 1950 followed 51-54 by 3 brothers and a sister. Reg returned to Lake Wyangan PS today from his home in Canberra to look around the school. Sorry he missed the Centenary but really wanted to drop in.
