With less distraction, less noise, less ‘shiny’ things, you might just glimpse into what is collapsing, breaking or tearing apart within you all for the purpose of creative destruction. The kind of destruction that leads you to more of you…
When I heard my teacher talk about moments of destruction reveal inside of us that which is indestructible, I realised just how important and pivotal destruction can be.
For all of us, there’s a clutch, an unconscious clinging, a mask, a filter, a distraction, keeping us from realising the parts of us that are indestructible.
The conundrum we all face, countless times, is that to unveil the indestructible, the bliss, the divine, we must be willing to give up the clinging… the clinging is our safety, our mistaken truth and can even create a false experience of divinity.
Even spiritual practices can lead us in the wrong direction when it’s not met with sincere honesty. No one likes to admit their meditation practice reveals anything but bliss. But we must.
And I don’t mean being honest with your instagram following, your in person students/clients, or even your teachers… I mean sincere honesty with yourself. The place where it truly matters. Meet yourself where you are.
Sadhana asks you to be honest when no one else is around, when no one else can see you or praise you.
After all if we can’t be honest with ourselves, how much can we actually integrate and embody. How much of the teachings actually translate to everyday life? Very little. And also, what’s the point of spending thousands of dollars on trainings if we don’t actually care enough to live them, deeply, personally and intimately?
The greatest yoga is the yoga no one can see.
Ps, slide number 2 are all of the things that have helped me collapse and transform.

Here’s what you might not know about Ta**ra beyond the pop culture Ta**ra we see today.
- Ta**ra is deeply rooted in spiritual tradition and is described as being a more accessible path to spirituality. Why? Because ta**ra has interpreted spiritual beliefs, that originated in the Vedic tradition, in a way that can be woven into our daily life. Spiritual practice becomes
- Ta**ra, similar to other yogic paths, sees the body as something to be experienced from a place of non-attachment. However, Ta**ra embraces the body as the ‘altar of life’, a portal, or vehicle for spiritual exploration.
- Unlike other paths, Ta**ra does not see the body as impure or something that needs to be overcome, it believes the body to be sacred in nature, part of the divine tapestry of the cosmos.
- Ta**ra teaches us that there’s no energy that exists in the cosmos that doesn’t also exist in us. By mastering the energy of the body, we master the energy of the cosmos. Pretty special right?!
- Many practices within Hatha Yoga (a technique of the ta***ic path) like asana, pranayama, bandha, and kriya meditation, are applied as a way to harness and internalise energy/Shakti (power) of the cosmos within the body. When we do this our own body becomes an altar for spiritual practice and we become a portal to the divine.
Sound familiar? This is the rise of kundalini from the base of the spine, where she lies dormant, upward through the spine.
One of my greatest joys is to share and teach the depth and integrative system of Ta**ra. A truly accessible spiritual path.

To truly experience evolution on all levels of our being, in life and in practice, it’s highly advised to utilise yoga to its fullest capacity and include all of its limbs.
Asana is not enough to have a complete experience of yoga or Self.
According to tradition there are two ways we can approach practice.
This first is Angabangha Sadhana = incomplete, less than complete, not all limbs.
This kind of practice might provide immediate satisfaction and ‘feel good’ moments but lacks holistic nature and lasting change. This practice is looks like leaning into our desires and avoiding the things we don’t want, which iis exactly what we need.
The second approach to practice is COMPLETE in nature.
Sarvangha Sadhana = a holistic and complete approach to practice.
Sarva = all, complete
Anga = limbs
Sadhana = practice
Sarvangha sadhana is where we start to experience potent transformation, and being, on all levels.
Physically, emotionally, energetically, mentally and spiritually.
Why is a complete practice important?
All limbs of yoga touch different aspects of who we are and help us connect to all of those moving parts while tapping into their strength.
For example, asana helps us affect our body by purifying it, strengthening it and stabilising it.
Pranayama impacts our pranic body, liberating stagnant energy and bringing us into relationship with the present moment.
Mantra helps us sweep the unconscious layers of the mind when practiced silently, and the conscious parts of the mind when practiced out loud.
Meditation helps us absorb into the infinite field of consciousness; the part of us that knows Truth.
People come to yoga for MANY different reasons.
Some people come to support their physical health, while others come to support their mental health.
Regardless of what draws us to yoga, as teachers and dedicated students we must not forget the spirit of yoga and the spirit of sadhana. The roots of practice.
This is complete practice. And complete practice is where the power of yoga is realised.

Yoga at its core will help you understand the nature of your existence.
Yoga is a practice that draws you in and reveals the answers to the deeper questions you have about your existence and life.
It’s those deeper questions that usually bring us to yoga to begin with.
Who am I?
What am I here for?
What does all of this mean?
Where do I fit in in the cosmic universe? How can I be of service?
What am I doing here...
I’m my experience some of those questions have been answered in a spontaneous unexpected moment, the answers have also been forgotten, many times, and so I continue to practice and inquire.
Other times I’ve found myself contemplating these questions and hitting a wall, and then I remember to trust.
On the surface, and in many classes, yoga is taught as asana only, and although asana absolutely has its importance in practice it’s helpful to the evolution of your practice to see asana as a stepping stone, a preparatory phase.
If you can practice becoming still and steady in asana, and stay long enough, then you might become curious enough to look further and quiet enough to hear and feel beyond the mind.
Mastering asana is not about perfecting a shape, there is much more beauty and purpose available within these gestures you are creating with your body.
Asana will help you address the past experiences that have shaped who you are here in this moment.
The past thoughts, experiences, conversations, feelings, even food you’ve had and how these things have impacted you, will show up in asana, which might feel confronting at times.
Asana is not in its end goal mastery of the body, but a tool to move beyond the body and develop mastery of the mind. We can then use the mind as a tool for accessing meditation where you become absorbed in timeless spirit.

When I was just shy of 19 years old and enrolled in my first ever Yoga teacher training, I never intended on becoming a teacher. I didn't know what I was going to do with the training or what I would gain from it, all I knew was that it felt 'right'. The best thing I ever did was lean in to the niggling whispers telling me to step into that training...
Even though it wasn't an intended 'career' choice, I've landed in a career that is full of purpose and service and community.
Follow your intuition for it will always keep you on the path of dharma.
