It's almost time to celebrate students who have shown a strong commitment to their learning, attendance and our school values!

To be eligible for the upcoming Attendance Reward, students need to:

✅ Maintain 90% or higher attendance
✅ Attend and participate in all scheduled lessons while at school
✅ Consistently uphold the Lake Illawarra High School values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience

Students who meet these criteria will be rewarded with a delicious Donut Jam donut and a chocolate treat!

Every day at school counts. Regular attendance, active participation and positive behaviour help students achieve their best and contribute to a thriving school community.

Nail Care workshop at South Coast Academy offered an opportunity to learn tricks and skills of the trade and possible pathways and courses for the future. Thanks to RIEP for organising the event.

Throughout this month, Lake Illawarra High School is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge. Today our students collectively made 688 push-ups!

This is our 5th consecutive year - we have raised over $4000 for Lifeline South Coast in this time.

This year, we are going to help shine the spotlight on and raise awareness of mental health by completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days, from 3-26 June.

🌟 Introducing Our 2027 Student Leadership Team! 🌟

This morning, our Principal, Ms Perry, had the pleasure of calling families to share the exciting news that their student has been chosen to be part of our 2027 Student Leadership Team!

Last week, our aspiring leaders delivered inspiring speeches and then the student body voted in the election to select our new Captains, Vice Captains, and Prefects. This morning, our new leaders were officially fitted for their school jackets, a symbol of their commitment and pride.

As representatives of our school, these students will uphold our school values, lead by example, and inspire their peers throughout the year. We can’t wait to see the amazing things they will achieve!

How exciting! These amazing companies are coming to support our Annual Mock Interviews for our Year 10 students in an important skill - interviewing for a future job. So many times we say "School doesn't help teach any life skills" but this is one they definitely need for life.

On average your young person will have 17 employers over 5 different careers - so have a practice with kind and generous employers that get young people - is a must !!

Will your young person be nervous? Of course - aren't we all for an interview?
They need to come along and see that these companies are excited to support them - and remember its not for an actual job - unless they want one!
