Only a few tickets are left for this year’s Battle of the Bands tonight. Come and cheer on BANDEMIC - a very impressive group of our Year 8s, playing a great mix of Jazz, fusion and some good old 90s rock! But book now, last year this event sold out!

As part of the wonderful Kyneton U3A restoration of the Kyneton High School Memorial Rose Garden, we’re looking 2 volunteers to help dig holes for new rose trees in our front garden.

If you can spare an hour or two this Sunday and don’t mind a bit of honest digging, we’d love your help!

On Thursday 16th July, Year 10 student Austin May proudly represented Kyneton High School at the Victorian State Cross Country Championships in Yarra Glen after qualifying through the Regional Championships last month.
Competing in the highly competitive Under 16 Boys 5km event, Austin raced against some of the best young distance runners from across Victoria. He finished an impressive 57th out of 81 competitors, recording a personal best time of 19:13.853.
Competing at this level provided Austin with a fantastic opportunity to challenge himself against the state's top runners and gain valuable experience. His determination and willingness to push himself throughout the race were evident, making the long journey to Yarra Glen well worthwhile.
We are incredibly proud of Austin's achievement, dedication, and the way he represented Kyneton High School. Congratulations, Austin, on an outstanding performance!

To finish off their 'Being an Effective Team Member' unit, the YR12 VCE-VM students had an excursion to The Great Escape Bendigo. The YR12s were split into two teams, with one team attempting the 'Pirate Mediterranean' Room and the other in the scary 'The Orphanage' room.
Both teams escaped their rooms in record times for the month of May!! All students had an amazing time. Big thank you to Kirsty for helping to supervise this excursion!
