Looking for something different to the usual big-school teaching role? Location: Kybong (40 minutes north of the Sunshine Coast, 15 minutes south of Gympie)

Part-time, 2-3 days/week | Commencing Term 3, 2025

Our High School Team is Growing!
We are looking for a high school educator who:
* Can explicitly teach English plus The Arts or HASS and Health to multi-age classes (Years 7–10)
* Brings joy, curiosity, clarity, and care to their teaching
* Connects deeply with adolescents and honours their growth
* Designs meaningful learning experiences grounded in inquiry and real-world relevance
* Integrates creativity, discussion, and movement into the secondary classroom
* Thinks independently, collaborates generously, and reflects with integrity.

You’ll be teaching two-three days a week in a small, calm and respectful learning environment. You’ll work closely with a supportive leadership team and like-minded colleagues who believe education should nourish both the learner and the teacher.

🎱 HPE at Mawarra: Real Skills, Real Connections 🏃‍♀️🌿

At Mawarra, our Health and Physical Education (HPE) program offers more than just sport. From team games and outdoor challenges to movement, coordination and wellbeing, we believe in keeping students active, engaged and growing through hands-on experiences.

One of our newest (and most loved!) additions is Snooker- a unique opportunity for our students to develop coordination, patience, strategy and focus…with a little friendly competition too!

We’re incredibly grateful to our community partner, Gympie Snooker Club, who have welcomed our students into their space each week with open arms. Just 5 minutes from the school, the club provides us with access to their beautiful hall, use of their equipment, and most generously, their time and wonderful volunteers. Their support has made it possible for our students to experience something new, fun and skill-building outside the traditional school environment.

Thank you to the Gympie Snooker Club for being such an integral part of our Mawarra learning journey. This is what community looks like. ❤️
