🌺 LONE PINE CEREMONY 🌺
This morning, we held our Lone Pine Ceremony at St Augustine’s College, joined by special guests, Legacy Kyabram and our Year 5 and 6 students. It was a beautiful recognition of our service men and women and the sacrifices made.

Thank you to Ian Danahay of Kyabram Legacy for leading our service, and to everyone who contributed to creating such a meaningful morning.

A special thank you to our College Captains, Charli and Dylan, who delivered A Seed of That Lone Pine Tree, and to Shylee and Xavier, who spoke about the Battle of Lone Pine, Legacy’s mission and their Kokoda experiences. Their words reflected their gratitude, appreciation and understanding of the importance of remembering those who have served.

John Lilford, Chairperson of Kyabram Legacy, spoke about the Guardianship of Lone Pine, while Principal Tim Campbell reflected on the honour and privilege of this important responsibility.

Our Year 5 and 6 students were absolutely brilliant in their participation and engagement, and refreshments and hospitality were enjoyed at St Augustine's Church. Thank you to Maggie Borelli and our 5/6 staff for their preparation and efforts with our students, the art work was amazing!

✨ LEARNING SUPPORT OFFICER APPRECIATION WEEK ✨
This week, we are proud to celebrate Learning Support Officer Appreciation Week and acknowledge the incredible contribution of our Learning Support Officers.

Our LSOs go above and beyond each day to support our students, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve success. Their patience, care and commitment make a lasting difference to the lives of our young people.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented, caring and hardworking team. Thank you for everything you do and for always putting our students at the heart of your work. 💙

🏉 FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS 🏉
Our College is looking forward to celebrating our special people with a range of events this week.

On Thursday, we warmly invite families to join us for our Beaut Blokes Breakfast & Footy Colours Day from 7:45am to 9am in the asphalt area at the back of the Church, followed by our Father's Day Liturgy at 9:00am in the Church. After the liturgy, our F–4 Community will open their classrooms for some fun activities.

On Friday, our Father's Day Stall will be held for students in Foundation to Year 6, giving them the opportunity to purchase a special gift for someone. Gifts will range from $1 to $6.50.

We kindly ask that students bring along a reusable shopping bag to help safely transport their gifts home.

Thank you to our staff and parent volunteers for their time and effort in organising these wonderful celebrations. 💙

🎉 ST AUGUSTINE'S FEAST DAY 🎉
Last week we celebrated our Patron Saint, St Augustine in a multitude of ways, culminating in our St Augustine's Feast Day Mass on Thursday, followed by cupcakes and a family picnic.

St Augustine of Hippo was one of the most important saints in the history of the Catholic Church. A bishop, theologian, philosopher and writer, he greatly influenced Christian teaching and is recognised as a Doctor of the Church.

As Bishop of Hippo, Augustine preached, cared for the poor and defended the Christian faith. His teachings on grace, faith, prayer, sin, conversion and our search for God have influenced the Church for more than 1,600 years.

Perhaps most importantly, St Augustine’s life reminds us that no one is beyond God’s love and grace. His journey shows us that, through faith and God’s mercy, our hearts and lives can be transformed.

Our Feast Day Mass celebrated all that St Augustine taught us and represented. He valued learning and education, as well as the humanity and dignity of others.

We are proud to be part of the St Augustine’s College community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our Feast Day celebrations so special. 💙🧁✨

📚 BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY 📚
What a wonderful way to celebrate Book Week! Our Foundation to Year 6 students brought their favourite characters to life for our annual Book Week Parade, filling the Brigidine Centre with lots of colour and plenty of fun. ✨
Our Year 12 students got into the spirit as they celebrated their last Book Week.

A fantastic celebration of stories, imagination and a love of reading. 💙

A special shout out to Mrs Baker and Jo from the library for all your efforts and to our staff for embracing Dress Up Day and joining in on the fun. 🙏🙌
