💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Family is at the heart of everything we do here at Lizzy’s Family Day Care and one of the most special parts of what I do is getting to know not only the beautiful little people in my care, but the families who love, support and surround them every single day.

Today is a special opportunity to celebrate the incredible dads, stepdads, grandpas, pops and special father figures who are such a big part of our little people’s worlds. The ones whose hands they reach for, whose cuddles make everything better, who make them laugh the loudest and who are helping shape the little people they are becoming.

I’m lucky enough to see just how much you mean to them through the stories they tell, the things they proudly share about you and the excitement on their faces when they’ve been creating something especially for you.

I hope today brings plenty of cuddles, laughter, family time and those simple little moments together that often become the memories we treasure the most.

To all of my wonderful daycare families, thank you for trusting me with your precious little people and allowing me to share in a small part of their childhood. It truly means more to me than you know.

🌱🍓 A beautiful morning in our garden! 🍓🌱

This morning we enjoyed spending time together in our garden, planting some new strawberry plants and giving our herb garden a little refresh. The children loved helping to carefully plant each strawberry before watering all of our plants to help them settle into their new home.

We were so excited to discover that one of our new strawberry plants already has a tiny flower! 🌼🍓 We chatted about how the flower will hopefully grow into a yummy strawberry, and now we can’t wait to watch the changes over the coming weeks.

While digging in the garden, we also found several worms hiding in the soil! This led to some wonderful conversations about how worms are nature’s little helpers, keeping our soil healthy so our plants can grow big and strong.

Gardening is such a valuable hands-on learning experience. It encourages children to care for living things, develop patience and responsibility, explore the natural world, and learn where our food comes from. We look forward to watching our strawberries, herbs and garden continue to flourish together. 🌿💚

This morning, we headed out for a walk to the library, turning our journey into a wonderful learning opportunity.

Along the way, we talked about road safety, practising how to cross safely, recognising traffic signs, and staying aware of our surroundings. We also took time to slow down, observe the world around us, and chat about all the interesting things we could see.

Every outing is a chance to build confidence, encourage curiosity and learn valuable life skills while enjoying our community.

Easter bunny hunt has started. They are hiding around Kyabram. Find a bunny bring it into Burnt Butter to claim your goodies. One per family, must be between 1 and 14 years of age.

☘️ St Patrick’s Day Fun at Lizzy’s Family Day Care ☘️

Today we got hands-on making our very own green playdough! 💚

Using simple ingredients, the children explored mixing, measuring, and creating while strengthening their fine motor skills and sparking their imaginations. There were lots of giggles, squishing, rolling, and creative play all around!
