🚧 Important Parking Update 🚧

As preparations begin for the installation of our new school fence, there have been some temporary changes to parking arrangements at Kuluin State School.

The hall-side section of the internal car park has now been fenced off to allow works to commence safely.

We ask all families and visitors to please take extra care during drop-off and pick-up times as traffic conditions may be different from usual.

⚠️ Please remember:
• Follow all signage and directions
• Drive slowly and be mindful of pedestrians
• Do not park on yellow lines
• Allow a little extra time for drop-off and pick-up

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these important improvements are completed. Keeping our students, families and staff safe is our priority.

We are looking forward to another fantastic day of athletics as our Senior Athletics Carnival continues!

📅 Friday 19th of June
🏃 800m events begin at 9:00am
🏅 200m Finals (Top 5 from the 100m Final) from 2:15pm
🏆 Presentation of Age Champions and the Winning House will follow.

Students are reminded to:
✅ Wear their sport house colours or school sports shirt
✅ Bring a hat and water bottle
✅ Apply sunscreen before school
✅ Show great sportsmanship and house spirit

Families are welcome to come along and support our students throughout the day.

Have you completed your child’s movie consent yet?

As part of our Gula Gold Reward, students will be celebrating their fantastic efforts with a special movie and popcorn day on Friday 26 June.

To ensure your child can join in the fun, please complete the consent form as soon as possible via QParents.

🎥 Prep–Year 2: Sing 2 (PG) – 9:00am
🎮 Year 3–6: The Minecraft Movie (PG) – 12:00pm
🍿 Popcorn will be provided, and students are welcome to bring something comfortable to sit on.

✅ Consent forms are due by Wednesday 24 June.

💙 Celebrating an Incredible Legacy 💙

After almost four decades of dedicated service, we announce the retirement of one of Kuluin State School’s most cherished and respected community members, Mrs Djenan “Nan” Sargood.

Mrs Sargood has been part of the Kuluin story since the very beginning, joining our school in 1987 when Kuluin State School first opened its doors. Over the years, she has built deep and lasting connections with generations of students, families, staff and community members.

As both a past parent and a staff member, Mrs Sargood has been one of Kuluin’s greatest advocates and supporters. In her role as a teacher aide, she has worked alongside countless teachers, supporting students in their learning and helping young people thrive. Beyond the classroom, Mrs Sargood has generously given her time to support school events, community activities and the many moments that make Kuluin such a special place.

Her kindness, dedication, generosity and unwavering commitment to our school community have left an impact that will be felt for many years to come.

As we celebrate her remarkable contribution to Kuluin State School, we invite current and former students, families, staff and community members to share your memories, stories and words of appreciation in the comments below. We know there are countless lives that she has touched throughout her 39 years at Kuluin.

Sibling photos are taken before school. Please note that siblings must present themselves to the photographer for their photo to be taken, as MSP Photography cannot be responsible for missed sibling photos if students do not attend.
