Maritime Career Training

Maritime Career Training AMSA approved STCW Certificate of Safety Training on the Sunshine Coast suitable for use in the Maritime, Mining, Oil and Gas and Superyacht industries.

Maritime Career Training (MCT) was established in 2006 by Barry Barnes to support the training requirements of those entering the Super Yacht industry. In 2010 Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) approved MCT to conduct the STCW Certificate of Safety Training course. On completion of our course, students are able to apply to AMSA for the issue of the Certificate of Safety Training qualific

ation. This is the basic safety training qualification that is recognised internationally for working on vessels. Holders of this certification often go on to become Marine Cooks, Engineers, Deck Hands and Officers. The AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training is required to be revalidated every 5 years by demonstrating competency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting and Personal Survival Techniques.

All gas flow stops (all flames are doused instantly)
The ventilation system automatically clears heat and smoke from inside the ship simulation
