Growth is the story of our 2026 NAPLAN results, making us a leading school across our state.

86% of our Year 9 students made High or Medium Growth in Numeracy. That is ahead of similar schools, our network and the state.

Growth in Grammar and Punctuation sits above all three as well, and 63% of our Year 9 students achieved Exceeding or Strong in Reading, again above similar schools, our network and the state.

Reading, Writing, Spelling and Grammar all improved on last year.

This is what happens when high expectations meet strong relationships and connection with our community.

Congratulations to our students, and to the staff who support them every day.

Book Week is coming and it’s time to swap your school uniform for something a little more legendary.

Come dressed as any character from a book, or movie/series based on a book. Think Katniss, Voldemort, Loki, Wednesday Addams, Harry Potter, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Goku, Thor, Le Bron James. Elsa, Clifford the Big Red Dog and more!

Fly solo, or assemble your squad to commit to the theme.

It has been a while since we have given you a sport update for 2026!! Below is what has been going on throughout the year👇

1️⃣ Term 1 Sport Wrap Up
💪Throughout the term we had students proudly representing the school in volleyball, softball and cricket, with excellent participation and sportsmanship on display throughout the events.

🏅SMR Finalists
A huge congratulations goes to our Year 7 Boys Cricket, Year 8 Girls Cricket, and Senior Girls Softball team, who have all successfully progressed through to the SMR Final. This is an amazing achievement!
Another highlight was our SMR Swimming team, where 13 students represented the school, all showing great determination.

2️⃣Term 2 Sport Wrap Up
🌟 Congratulations to Brodie Trounson, Lily Holdsworth and Blake Miller, who finished in the Top 10 at the SMR Cross Country Finals and qualified (and have already now competed in) the State Cross Country Championships.

🏉 A huge achievement for our Intermediate, Senior, Year 7 and Year 8 Boys AFL teams, who all won at Division level and will now compete at the SMR Finals in late July.

🏐 Congratulations also to our Intermediate, Senior, Year 7 and Year 8 Girls Netball teams, who were successful at Division level and will progress to the SMR Finals in late August. Our Boys Netball A teams also impressed, with all teams qualifying for the SMR Finals.

🏉 Well done to our Intermediate Girls AFL Team, who earned their place at the SMR Competition after a fantastic Division campaign.

🥎 A special congratulations to our Senior Girls Softball Team, who won the SMR Finals and recently represented the school at the State Competition.

⚾ Our Junior Baseball/Softball Team, along with our Senior and Intermediate Soccer teams, competed strongly and represented the school with pride.

We are incredibly proud of all students who continue to demonstrate dedication, teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship while representing our school community.

A huge thankyou to all students, parents, carers, staff, and VM students for their support throughout the semester.
Well done to each student who got involved and represented our school!
We look forward to competing in more sport in this semester!!
