This years District Athletic event held on 3 September was a wonderful day for St Johns with our students displaying fantastic sportsmanship, many students placing and a number continuing on to Division Athletics. 🏃🏃‍♀️

Congratulations to everyone who took part.

A couple of weeks ago we held our annual Father's Day Breakfast, this is always a sepcial occasion and we love to see students enjoying breakfast, a bit of basketball or a kick of the footy with their Dad's or special father figures.

Breakfast was followed by a Liturgy to reflect on, and celebrate the Fathers in our lives. The day was also our Footy Day celebration and it was lovely to see our Dad's in their footy colours as well.

Thank you to our staff who make this event possible by volunteering to cook breakfast before a busy school day and to our Friends of St Johns Committee for organising a wonderful raffle again.

Last week saw students & staff celebrate Footy Day by donning our favourite team colours and parading them for all to see. We also enjoyed the traditional footy day lunch with pies, hot dogs and sausage rolls on the menu.

Lots of fun activities to round out the day - more photos to come of these.

This year we also combined Fathers Day Breakfast & Footy Day, look out for these photos over the coming days. 😊

Last week the students in Grade 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a great day of learning about Earth and Space on our excursion.

Firstly, we went to IMAX to watch 'A Beautiful Planet' in 3D, then on to the picturesque St Kilda foreshore to find the planets along the Solar System trail, discovering the size and distance of each planet to scale in comparison to the sun. Thankfully the weather held out! 🌞🌏

Happy Birthday to us!! 🎂🎈

Today we have celebrated St John the Baptist Primary School turning 90 with a wonderful Mass celebrating our history.

Mass was followed by morning tea and memorabilia enjoyed by current and past families & staff. Such a lovely way to celebrate our school and its history.
