George School of Fine Art is uniquely placed in the southern suburbs
of Sydney, Kogarah, hosting a history of producing fine artists with an
international profile including George Gittoes and Fiona Hall. The art school is a creative hub where students can develop their individual
talent in a unique atmosphere of exhibitions, fieldwork drawings, workshops,
studio residency and internship progra

ms. St George offers students the opportunity to develop a creative approach to
painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and printmaking through the
mentoring of practising artists as teachers. Additionally there is a strong
emphasis on developing practical and employability skills through simulated
and real work placements in both the Diploma and Advanced Diploma stages of study. Scheduled guest lectures, studio visits and technical workshops are
programmed to establish and build on workplace opportunities and careers. Courses provide students with the opportunity to enhance their skills and
techniques relevant to employment within the fine arts industry and study
pathways to higher education. George

To celebrate 20 years of creativity at their Caringbah Store, are hosting a paint your own watercolour artwork activity from 11am – 2pm & ‘Know Your Materials’ Winsor & Newton Watercolour Artist Talk and Workshop with Artist & Educator Dr Natalie O’Connor, from 2pm – 4pm.
 
Admission is free and no bookings are required.
