Year 11 Hospitality students preparing their Focaccia as part of their Prepare and Present Sandwiches unit.

Students interested in pursuing a pathway in the construction industry completed a one-day White Card training course on site. All 19 participating students successfully met the course requirements and attained their White Cards, providing them with the essential certification needed to work safely in the construction industry.

On 25 May, Year 7 and Year 9 students attended an inspiring writing workshop led by Solli Raphael. An award-winning writer, speaker, performer and advocate, Solli shared his experiences and encouraged students to use writing as a way to express themselves and create positive change. Students explored techniques for drawing on their own experiences and ideas in their writing. They then had the opportunity to compose and share their work with the audience, revealing some promising young writers among us.

This performance was a part of the House Swap program, which is held every year, run by local artists and coordinated by Ms Blomkamp.🙌

On Tuesday, our SRC held the World’s Greatest Shave event. Many teachers and students got on board by braiding and colouring their hair, and Mr Gifford was brave enough to embrace the shave!!

Our Year 11 Music students are developing their skills in digital music production by using Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software to compose and produce original soundtracks for short films.

Through this project, students are exploring how music can enhance storytelling, create atmosphere, and evoke emotion on screen.

They are learning industry-standard techniques including sequencing, audio editing, mixing, and sound design while bringing visual narratives to life through music.

Ms Mohsen is running a Girls Gym Club!💪🏋‍♀🤸‍♀ Students will be able to use the school's gym faclities to gain workout skills, and get support.
