Greek school teachers needed for afternoon classes at our Parish Greek Schools which are situated at Bald Face (Blakehurst), Brighton-Le-Sands, Carlton South, Hurstville, Kogarah Ramsgate and Sans Souci.

A large congregation gathered at our Church to celebrate Greek National Day, "OXI Day," with great reverence and patriotism. His Grace Bishop Christodoulos of Magnesia presided over the Divine Liturgy, which was followed by a special Litany of the Holy Icon of St. Demetrios of Thessaloniki, offered on behalf of the Pan Macedonian Association of NSW.
At the conclusion of the Litany, His Grace led the Doxology service in honour of the historic Greek National Day, commemorating the brave resistance of Greece during World War II. In a moving tribute to the fallen heroes, the Greek school children recited heartfelt poems, filling the Church with a sense of pride and gratitude for their sacrifices.
On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Christodoulos extended a warm welcome to the Pan Macedonian Association and expressed his sincere thanks to the Greek school students and their teachers for their beautiful presentation. Their performance was a touching and memorable addition to the day’s celebrations, offering inspiration to all present.
Διπλή εορτή σήμερα στον κατάμεστο Ιερό Ναό της Αναστάσεως του Χριστού στο Kogarah, προεξάρχοντος του Θεοφιλεστάτου Επισκόπου Μαγνησίας κ. Χριστοδούλου. Στο πέρας της Θείας Λειτουργίας, πραγματοποιήθηκε η Λιτανεία της Ιεράς Εικόνος του Αγίου Δημητρίου, με τη συμμετοχή όλων των μελών της Παμμακεδονικής Ένωσης Νέας Νοτίου Ουαλίας. Κατόπιν, ακολούθησε η Δοξολογία για την επέτειο του ηρωικού "ΟΧΙ" της 28ης Οκτωβρίου 1940, ενώ στη συνέχεια έλαβε χώρα η σχολική εορτή με την ενεργή συμμετοχή των μαθητών των Ελληνικών σχολείων της Ενορίας και Κοινότητάς μας.
Ο Θεοφιλέστατος μετέφερε τις εγκάρδιες ευχές και ευλογίες του Σεβασμιωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Αυστραλίας κ.κ. Μακαρίου προς την Παμμακεδονική Ένωση Νέας Νοτίου Ουαλίας και ιδιαίτερα προς τη μαθητιώσα νεολαία, τονίζοντας την αξία της ιστορικής μνήμης και της διατήρησης των εθνικών και θρησκευτικών παραδόσεων.

It's beginning to feel like Christmas!!! Our beautiful Greek School Students were busy putting up our Christmas Tree. It will be further decorated with all the students home made decorations and the presents underneath the tree are for children in hospitals!
