Today it was the “Celebration of Steph” as we acknowledged our Steph, a much valued and respected member of our team both at the Hospital and at Outreach!
Steph and her family are moving to Lithgow and today was her last day with us. The day started with an early / before school staff breakfast then our Outreach class surprised Steph with a party lunch and gifts, all prepared and planned by the students as well as a special song and recording created in the weekly music lesson.
Thank you Steph for your commitment to the school, our students and the impact you have made on their learning and wellbeing!
We wish you and your family a wonderful new beginnings and will miss you! 😘

We feel also feel grateful for the strong partnership and connection that our school and the nursing team have built!

Earlier this week we hosted a special visit from the students and staff of the Support Unit from Georges River College( GRC) Hurstville Campus. This visit was not just for the GRC students to learn more about the hospital and our school but to present a very generous donation! The support unit students recently planned, organised and then held a market day at their school with all funds raised going to support our school. Everyone at St George Hospital School is so overwhelmed and grateful for this most generous donation, which will be used to support literacy programs. Thank you again to our friends at the support unit, GRC Hurstville Campus! 🥰
