We’re in Hobart!

Today and tomorrow, Raeco is exhibiting at the Tasmanian School Administrators Association Conference.

We love connecting with school administrators to talk about the bigger role a modern library can play across the whole school.

With the right shelving, furniture and layout, a library can become far more than a place to borrow books. It can support literacy, learning, wellbeing, collaboration, presentations, events and a whole range of flexible uses throughout the school day.

HAPPY SCHOOL LIBRARY DAY!

We’re celebrating school libraries and the incredible people who keep them vibrant, relevant and loved.

At Raeco, one of the most rewarding parts of what we do is seeing what can happen when a school library is given a little attention.

Sometimes it’s a full refurbishment. Other times, it might simply be a new book display stand, improved shelving layouts, new signage, flexible furniture or a few clever changes to how the space is used.

And those seemingly small changes can have a big impact.

We love seeing book circulation increase, students spending more time in the library, new activities finding a home there, and a renewed sense of pride in the space.

It’s also satisfying when the library becomes a highlight of school enrolment tours again. They are shown off during the tour as a vibrant learning space that students genuinely want to use - which impresses parents too!

The entire product selection plus layout/design process was sucessfully completed with the Raeco design team and library staff online.

It’s Book Week! And around here, that’s a pretty big deal.

The RAECO team decided to celebrate with a little storytime session in the office, naturally surrounded by books.

We love seeing books displayed in a way that makes people want to stop, browse and pick one up, so our new Australian-manufactured book display units made the perfect backdrop.

There was just one small problem…

The team wasn’t quite as enthusiastic about dressing up for Book Week as we’d hoped.

So we let AI step in.

One AI version of our image gives everyone the full storybook-character treatment.

The other version took things a step further and turned the whole reading circle back into their childhood selves.
