Our School Zone Educators connected with the school and got right into the dress ups today to celebrate Book Week. Some of our educators were even able to attend the annual Book Week parade. We love watching all of our children join in. Next week we will be doing more book week activities with the children.

We are all so grateful and lucky to work with Miss Bek. So many children and families over the last 8 years have had the privilege of being cared for, supported and nurtured by Miss Bek.

We are so thankful that we get to work alongside someone who brings such a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to our team. Miss Bek is always willing to share her knowledge and support those around her, helping our team continue to grow and learn.

Today we’re shining the spotlight on our wonderful Miss Tash! 💕

Miss Tash has recently completed her Certificate III in Outside School Hours Care - congratulations, Miss Tash! 🎓✨ Her dedication and passion for working with children really shines through in everything she does.

Miss Tash loves getting right into the action and joining in with the children’s play experiences. Whether it’s creating, exploring, playing games or simply having fun together, she believes in building strong connections through shared experiences.💛

Over her time at School Zone, Miss Tash has built some wonderful relationships with both children and families. She has developed strong, genuine connections that help children feel safe, valued and supported. It’s these relationships that make Tash such a special part of our School Zone team!

Outside of work, Tash is a proud mum to three children and has two cat. She loves spending quality time with her family and friends whenever she gets the chance.

We’re so lucky to have Miss Tash as part of our School Zone family, bringing her warmth, enthusiasm and genuine love for building connections with our children every day! 💙✨

Mr Scott holds a Diploma in School Age Education and Care and brings a wonderful passion for music to School Zone. He loves sharing his passion with the children and helping them discover the joy, creativity and fun that comes with learning about music! 🥁🎵

🎸Fun Fact: Mr Scott was once in a band! 🤘

When he’s not at School Zone, Mr Scott loves spending quality time with his wife and two children, as well as enjoying his love of drawing and listening to music🎨🎶

The children love learning more about the art of music with Mr Scott, especially in our new drumming club!

Get to know Miss Shanelle!!

Shanelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science and brings a passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. She especially loves getting creative with loose parts and seeing where children’s imaginations can take them! 🌿🧩✨

When she’s not at School Zone, Shanelle loves spending time with her two fur babies — Cleo her playful dog and Freya, her beautiful cat.

🥁Our Drumming Club is in Full Swing! 🥁

Our Drumming Club has been a fantastic success, with children enthusiastically learning new beats, rhythms and drumming techniques each week with the wonderful Mr Scott.

From keeping a steady beat to creating exciting group rhythms, the children are building their confidence, coordination, listening skills and teamwork while having so much fun. Using cajons, buckets, drumsticks and even everyday kitchen items, they're discovering that music can be made anywhere!

It's been wonderful to watch their skills grow each session as they challenge themselves, encourage one another and proudly show off the new rhythms they've learned. We can't wait to see what new beats they'll master next! 🎶🥁

🥁 Exciting News from Our After School Care Program! 🥁

We're thrilled to introduce our brand-new Drumming Club, starting Monday, 27th July, led by the talented Mr Scott!

Children will have the opportunity to explore rhythm, music and creativity in a fun, hands-on environment. Mr Scott will be playing the big cajón, while children will create their own beats using smaller cajóns, buckets, drumsticks, and even everyday kitchen "instruments"!

Drumming is a fantastic way to build confidence, teamwork, coordination and self-expression—all while having an incredible amount of fun!

We can't wait to hear the amazing rhythms our children create and see them develop new skills each week. 🥁🎶
