Together, our small actions create big change
When everyone contributes, even in small ways, our school becomes kinder, safer and more inclusive. Be the reason someone feels supported. Your actions inspire others and help build a culture where bullying has no place.

Pause before you speak, text or communicate online
Your words have power online and in person. Before you say or send something, think about how it might impact someone else. A small moment of reflection can prevent harm and help create a safer and more respectful community.

๐ Run 4 Orla โ Celebrating a Precious Life ๐
Yesterday, we were privileged to attend the official launch of Run 4 Orla โ a very special event created to celebrate and honour the beautiful life of Orla, who was taken far too soon by cancer.
While her loss is heartbreaking, Run 4 Orla provides an opportunity for our community to come together, remember Orla, celebrate her life and support an important cause in her honour.
We are proud to support and participate in Run 4 Orla on Sunday, 15 November 2026, and we would love for our Sunrise Kids community to join us for this wonderful day of fun, connection and remembrance.

๐ Daffodil Day 2026 ๐
Today we recognise Daffodil Day, a special day dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for cancer research, prevention and support through the Cancer Council. ๐ผ
We were so proud to see our Little Learners have the opportunity to participate in a wonderful Daffodil Day presentation at Westfield North Lakes, in collaboration with Amy from Cancer Council.
It was a beautiful opportunity for our children to learn about the importance of kindness, community and supporting those affected by cancer. ๐
A big thank you to Amy and Cancer Council for helping our Little Learners understand that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference.
๐ผ Together, we can help create a future without cancer.

You have the power to make things better
Bullying affects everyone, not just the person being targeted. If you see it happening, do not ignore it. Your support, even a quiet and simple action, sends a clear message that bullying is not okay here.

Kindness creates impact, even the tiny moments
A smile, a compliment, sitting with someone new, or inviting someone into a group can make a huge difference. Small acts of kindness build a school culture where everyone feels like they belong.

In early childhood, children are developing their understanding of relationships, belonging, fairness, empathy and how their words and actions affect others.
Throughout Bullying No Way Week, our educators will use everyday moments to help children understand that their small choices can make a big difference.
Our focus is not simply on teaching children about bullying. It is about creating an environment where children experience and practise kindness, inclusion, respect, empathy, courage and belonging every day.
Small acts matter: Words and actions
Your voice can lift someone up! Checking in with someone, offering help or speaking up can make a big difference. Even small actions can brighten someoneโs day and shape a more positive school experience.

๐โจ Weโre Reading Heroes! โจ๐
Weโre excited to be participating in the 2026 Premierโs Reading Challenge this week! ๐
This wonderful initiative encourages children to read widely, discover new stories and develop a lifelong love of books โ and itโs not about competition, but about the joy of reading and learning. ๐๐
Over one week, our little readers will enjoy a range of book experiences and fun literacy activities as we explore new worlds, characters and adventures together! ๐๐งธ
๐ Letโs read, imagine, discover and become Reading Heroes! ๐
