Kippa-Ring State School is offering families a chance to take part in Parent/Teacher Interviews on Tuesday 8 September; between 3.15pm and 6.00pm.

This is a great opportunity for parents/caregivers to connect in person with their child's classroom teacher, and to find out about their classroom progress throughout the term.

Some teachers may also have availability on other days, and if this is the case, these times will appear as available when booking.

To book your parent/teacher interview, Kippa-Ring State School uses the SOBS website. Booking online enables parents to immediately see vacant meeting slots and secure a time. The SOBS website also provided the ability for families with more than one child at the school, to view the availability of multiple teachers and book a sequence of time that works for them.

Students in Prep to Year 4 will be participating in a 5-day "Learn to Swim/Water Safety" program at the Redcliffe Dolphins Aquatic & Fitness Centre in Term 4 - Monday 30 November to Friday 4 December.

Students will receive 5 x 45 minute lessons from qualified coaches. These lessons will cater for all levels of swimming confidence; from those students who have a fear of swimming, to those who are quite proficient swimmers.

The cost of this program is $40 per student, which includes bus travel to and from the venue, lessons and a swimming cap. If your child still has unused Back to School Boost credits on their account, you can use these to cover the cost of the activity. Please write on the permission form if you wish to use these credits.

Please return your child's permission form to the office as soon as possible as we will need to give the pool numbers well in advance of the start of lessons. Payment is due in full by Friday 30 October.

Due to our Incursion this morning, we were unable to hold our usual assembly. However, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge our wonderful winners from Weeks 3 and 4!🎉👏

Just a reminder to wear 'purple' on Monday 17 August for "Say no to Bullying Day." It can be in the form of a t-shirt, socks, or just a ribbon or hair band. Please ensure though that your child is in sun safe clothing and wearing enclosed shoes.
