Japanese Star Festival, Tanabata

Year 3, 4 and 5 students learned about the story and traditions of Japanese star festival- Tanabata. They wrote their wishes on colourful paper strips called Tanzaku. They also created beautiful decorations and decorated our little trees outside the Japanese room.

It was wonderful to see our Kippa-Ring students enthusiastically participating in this cultural tradition and sharing their hopes and dreams. Well done to all students for their creativity and engagement in learning about Japanese culture!

Students are invited to wear their team's colours tomorrow - Wednesday 17 June, for game #2 of the State of Origin. 🏉

Please remember that all clothing must be sun smart, and enclosed shoes are to be worn.

Students do not need to bring a gold coin donation. We look forward to seeing you in your colours ❤️💙

Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather experienced recently it is not safe for students to participate in these
conditions, nor operationally feasible to prepare the oval for such a large-scale event. Below are the new dates.

Congratulations to this wonderful group of students who were nominated by their class teachers to attend this week's "Principal's Morning Tea." They not only got to share some delicious treats, but they also got to show their amazing work to Mrs Rasmussen 🥰 Well done to you all, and we look forward to seeing which lucky students will be invited to attend next week. Keep up the great work!!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are having to cancel this week's Playgroup. We will return on Friday 19 June for a fun filled morning, which will be the last one for Term 2.

On Thursday the 11th June, Kippa-Ring State School will be holding a Music Recital Night. Our tuckshop will be supporting this event by offering pre-performance goodies between 4.45pm-5.30pm. Congratulations to all students in the Senior String Ensemble who performed at the Fanfare Music Festival on Monday. The group achieved a silver award!
