New Enquiries 1800 CHILD CARE
At West Kinross Milestones we have a passionate group of educators determined to provide care of the highest quality in a safe and secure environment that you can trust. We provide a warm, homely, supportive and caring environment which provides children with a predictability of where they feel safe and secure. We help children develop a positive self-image and a healthy attitude towards learning and play while also teaching them and preparing them for school based learning through our preschool program and school readiness program. We believe that every child is unique and they bring to our centre their own special qualities. Our caring, passionate educators dedicate their profession to building relationships and supporting children to develop, play and learn. A small 45 place centre with 6 educators promotes a safe and secure environment for children and families. At West Kinross Milestones we aim to provide a trusted environment where everyone can enjoy a flexible program full of fun, learning, and social interactions. We offer an orientation process to encourage a smooth transition into the centre for both the children and their families. We understand and value the role that families play in the early years of a child and that positive family to educator relationships will allow us to collaboratively work together to provide positive early years education and care. We encourage close and frequent communication with families leading to a high degree of family participation and involvement. We also believe in helping all children understand, appreciate and respect various social and cultural diversities within our community. New Enquiries 1800 CHILD CARE
We believe in surrounding children with natural and sustainable materials and an environment that encourages curiosity, learning and respect, this is highlighted within our sustainability program. Through the program the children are learning to care for their environment and to reduce, reuse, recycle. At West Kinross Milestones, space is used imaginatively and with careful consideration as we understand and recognise the power of a child’s environment. We promote the use of open-ended resources and keep spaces light and airy. Our outdoor areas have also been developed to ensure children can flow freely between the indoor and outdoor learning environments. They include vegetable patches, relaxation spaces, sand, music, large scale construction and cubby house etc. All our spaces have been designed to capture and incite children’s creativity, choices, exploring and investigating skills, thinking and reflecting skills, project and social participation and communication. West Kinross Kids Care has a specialised 3 year old program. The design of the service supports the younger age group with focused developmentally appropriate experiences and resources. The centre’s immaculate environment features three educational studios and natural outdoor and indoor play areas. Children receive nutritional meals throughout their day, an online learning portfolio that can be shared with friends and family, as well as the love and attention they need.
