Try Manufacturing

We were delighted to welcome students and teachers from Erskine Park High School to our TAFE NSW Kingswood Campus this week for our inaugural Try Manufacturing program!

Designed to build awareness, understanding and confidence around modern manufacturing careers, Try Manufacturing gives students the opportunity to explore advanced technologies, training pathways and future career opportunities through hands-on experiences.

The group learned about Computer Aided Design (CAD), 3D scanning and 3D printing, as well as enjoying some healthy competition on our Augmented Reality welding simulators!

We were also pleased to welcome the amazing Louise Azzopardi who generously shared her incredible trade career experience and gave the students some great advice on pursuing an apprenticeship.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success!

💙 Giving back through the power of touch.

Thirteen Massage Therapy students from our Katoomba, Kingswood and Loftus campuses recently volunteered their skills to provide seated massages for women who have come to Australia as refugees.

Delivered in partnership with Boronia Multicultural Services https://www.bms.org.au/ and supported by teachers Marguerite Rummery and Martina Larsen, the day was all about connection, care and community.

Thirty women enjoyed a relaxing massage—many experiencing one for the very first time. For our students, it was also a meaningful way to celebrate completing their Certificate IV in Massage Therapy by giving back to the community.

A huge thank you to our students, teachers and Boronia Multicultural Services for making such a positive difference. 💙

Our next intake for Cert IV Massage Therapy will start July 22 at Kingswood Campus Nepean TAFE.
