Our Kingswood Campus was buzzing last Thursday as the School of Education hosted 70 Teacher Cadets from Doonside, Kingswood, Cranebrook and Eagle Vale for the Growing Great Teachers Program in partnership with Creating Chances

Dr John Ley Associate Lecturer, Mathematics Education, delivered an engaging mock tutorial to a full house of Year 10-12 students, proving that maths can be fun when you’re learning with purpose.

A special thank you to the Future Students Engagement Team, including Genevieve Bryant and our Student Ambassadors, for their support in helping make the day a success.

It was amazing to see so many young people exploring university life, connecting with our staff and imagining themselves as future teachers. A brilliant day for our future educators.

The Pre‑Service Teacher Conference is one of the School of Education’s flagship events designed to connect our future teachers with the profession, build their confidence, and equip them with the practical skills, networks, and insights they need as they prepare to enter the classroom.

Parramatta South came alive on 22 May as we welcomed 700+ future teachers from Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary, and final‑year BEd programs for our biggest conference yet.

The day was a huge success, with:

The expo space was buzzing with stallholders including Down Syndrome NSW, Young Academics, ABC Education: BTN, Sydney Zoo, and Georges River, Fairfield, and Campbelltown Councils.

A special thank you to our event sponsors , including Aware Super, Fairfield City Council, Teachers Mutual Bank, NSW Teachers Federation, BBI – TAITE, WSU Early Learning, Anzuk Education, Aspect Australia, Young Academics, and Independent Schools NSW for their generous support.
