🇳🇵❤️ Our hearts are with our Saltbush Nepali families this week.

Our thoughts are especially with the Nepali families in our Saltbush community who have loved ones in Nepal and Tibet, following the devastating landslides and floods.

We know that for many of our families, the people and places affected are not far away — they are home, and they are loved ones. We are thinking of you as you wait for news, worry about family and friends, and carry the weight of what is happening from afar.

To our Nepali families: please know that your Saltbush community is holding you close. We are sending love, strength and hope to you, your families and everyone affected. 🇳🇵❤️

📢Parent Information Sessions about Protective Behaviours

Three-part series at Saltbush:

💚Tuesday 15th September
💚Tuesday 22nd September
💚Tuesday 29th September

RSVP please: [email protected]

This three-part Protective Behaviours series equips parents and caregivers with practical tools to help children understand personal safety, build confidence, and develop help-seeking skills. Parents and caregivers will learn:

•how to teach children to recognise and trust their body warning signs;
•that everyone has the right to feel safe, and identify trusted adults who can provide support when needed;
•about body boundaries, consent, safe, unsafe and unwanted touch;
•online safety;
•effective ways to respond if a child discloses concerns about their wellbeing.

Families will also learn practical safety rules, including how to recognise unsafe situations and “tricky” behaviours, understand the difference between public and private body parts, behaviours and locations, distinguish between secrets and surprises, and know what to do if they become lost or feel unsafe.

Throughout the sessions, participants will gain age-appropriate strategies for teaching these concepts through everyday conversations, role-modelling, games and play, and real-life situations - helping children develop the confidence, resilience, and skills to stay safe and seek help when they need it.
