Chisel and Dowel

Phil’s bedside tables in American Walnut were finished at the end of last term. Bookmatched boards with grain running right around mitred corners. Phil kept the stock size down to a minimum which made the long mitres tricky, but when combined with his long turned, tapered and splayed legs, he has created two delicate and refined pieces of heirloom furniture.

It’s nearly Easter and we haven’t posted a thing since before Christmas!! We have lots of great finished work from last term and already a bunch coming through from this year. STAY TUNED.

Tuesday nights crushing it! New record for the newbies - chopping boards done, first stage knives and frames glued up. All by week 5!!! Phil’s jig using a router on a lathe box yielded an amazing result - the legs for his walnut bedside tables. Baked cheesecake for the ‘break cake’ from Zoe.
