ππ𧩠**Year 6 Rube Goldberg Challenge!** π§©ππ
Our Year 6 students put their creativity, problem-solving skills, and perseverance to the test as they designed and built their own Rube Goldberg machines!
The challenge was simple: create a chain reaction that could complete a task such as ringing a bell, knocking over a bottle, or popping a balloon. The journey, however, was anything but simple!
There were plenty of successes, a few unexpected failures, and lots of adjustments along the way. Students learned the importance of teamwork, critical thinking, and persistence as they refined their designs and tried again and again until they achieved their goal.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm, innovation, and resilience our students demonstrated throughout this exciting STEM challenge. Well done, Year 6!

π Cultural Dress-Up Day 2026 π
What a fantastic day celebrating the rich cultural diversity of our school community!
Our Year 6 Cultural Group did an outstanding job organising today's Cultural Dress-Up Day. The traditional and cultural outfits on display were sensational, showcasing the many cultures, backgrounds, and traditions that make our school such a vibrant and inclusive place.
This afternoon, students and families enjoyed a special assembly featuring cultural trivia and wonderful performances from our Eisteddfod Band, Strings, and Choir. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our diversity through music, learning, and community spirit.
A special thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us today. It was lovely to welcome you onsite and share this celebration together.

Our library was buzzing with excitement today as Year 2 students continued researching how technology has changed over time. This particular group of students is enthusiastic about sharing how technology has evolved in Kingsgrove and transformed our lives. We look forward to sharing their learning and Create Phase items at the Guided Inquiry Showcase on Wednesday 24 June at 2:15 pm.

On Friday, our network of Family Educators came together to present a rosary initiative called- COME TO THE WATER.
With 77 women in attendance, we spoke on the history of the rosary, shared personal testimonies and prayed the rosary together. With the water as our background, the morning was both wholesome and powerful.
"There is no problem I tell you, no matter how great, that cannot be solved by the power of the rosary" - Sr Lucia of Fatima

Over the past few weeks, our two RECs have enjoyed visiting our Kβ2 classrooms to observe Religious Education lessons in action.
Students have been engaging deeply with their learning, with Kindergarten exploring how God made the world, Year 1 learning about being Baptised into the Church, and Year 2 focusing on sharing in the life of the Church.
As part of our school's annual Religious Education improvement goal, we have been strengthening students' understanding through daily review of previously taught RE concepts and explicitly unpacking key religious vocabulary. It was wonderful to see these practices embedded across classrooms and to hear students confidently using and explaining their learning.
We were delighted by the enthusiasm and knowledge on display and look forward to visiting our Years 3β6 classrooms in the coming weeks to see more great learning in Religious Education. β¨ππ
