Meet the Heart of Cheeky Monkeys 💛
As Educator Appreciation Day arrives tomorrow, we would love to take a moment to introduce the incredible Educators who make Cheeky Monkeys the special place it is.

These are the people at the heart of Cheekies — the Educators who make our children laugh, help them learn, encourage them to grow, wipe away tears, celebrate the little wins and the big milestones, and fill our days with warmth, patience and plenty of fun.

For 20 years, Cheeky Monkeys has been part of our local community, welcoming generations of children and families through our doors. While so much has grown and evolved over those years, one thing has always remained at the centre of who we are: our people.

Our team is beautifully diverse, with Educators who bring their own cultures, experiences, personalities and languages to our service, including Greek, Spanish, Tamil and Indonesian. Every Educator brings their own little touch of magic — their own strengths, ideas, humour, creativity and, most importantly, their genuine love for the children in their care.

Together, we are more than a team. We are a little Cheeky Monkeys family, working side by side to create a place where children feel safe, known, loved, confident and excited to learn.

Tomorrow is about celebrating our Educators and recognising the enormous difference they make every single day. We are so proud of this team and so proud of the little community we have built together over the past 20 years. 🐒💛

Cheeky Monkeys is currently enrolling for 2027, with limited positions also remaining for the rest of 2026.

Cheeky Monkeys was established in 2006, built with so much love, heart and a very special vision — to create a small, boutique childcare service where children would feel safe, loved, completely at home, and where families would always feel welcomed as part of our own.

From those very early days, Cheeky Monkeys was truly a family creation, and one very special Daughter and Sister, Elleni, played a beautiful part in bringing our vision to life.

With her incredible creativity and talent as a graphic designer, Elleni created our very first Cheeky Monkeys logo and, over the years, helped it grow and evolve into the beautiful brand that represents our centre today. She gave so much of her creativity, time and love to making Cheeky Monkeys feel like us.

Her touch can still be seen everywhere — in our logo, throughout our centre, on our uniforms, our signage and in so many of the little details that have become part of the Cheeky Monkeys identity.

Following Elleni’s recent passing, these things now hold a meaning far greater than we could ever have imagined. What was once simply our logo and our branding has become something incredibly precious to our family. Everywhere we look, we are reminded of her — of her creativity, her talent, her love and the special part she played in our journey.

For 20 years, Cheeky Monkeys has grown, changed and welcomed so many beautiful children and families through its doors, but the heart of who we are has never changed. We are still a small, family-run centre built on love, connection and the belief that childhood should feel safe, happy and full of belonging.

And now, as we continue this story, we do so knowing that a little piece of Elleni will always be here with us.

Every time we see our logo, every time one of our Educators wears our uniform, and every time another little child walks through our doors, we are reminded that something Elleni created with love all those years ago continues to live on.

She will forever be part of our family, part of our story and part of the heart of Cheeky Monkeys 🩷
