Game Development Society is now officially part of MegaLAN!
MegaLAN is an in-person convention by PCSoc hosting activities for everything gaming related.
We will be hosting stalls where you can play games members of our society have made.

Is UNSW Game Development Society DEAD!?
No! If you're not on our Discord server, unfortunately, you've missed out on our announcements and activities for a while. We've stopped making announcements of our weekly events and workshops on Facebook and have moved everything to our Discord server! We still have our weekly Friday 6PM meetups as always (In ElecEng G03).

We're collaborating with CSESoc on an awesome O-Week Workshop Gauntlet and a Game Jam to top it all of for the beginning of Term 1!

Throughout O-Week and Week 1, our friends at the UNSW Game Development Society will be running a mega-series of โจGame Development workshopsโจ, followed by a 6-day Game Jam! ๐
You will learn to:
โญ๏ธ Form your own original video game ideas through a tried and tested design process
โญ๏ธ Create your own 2D platforming game in Unity, starting from the basics
โญ๏ธ Create tileable textures for your 2D and 3D games
โญ๏ธ Design and implement standard features of First Person Shooter games
โญ๏ธ Much much more!!
No programming experience is required, all experience levels welcome! The workshops will teach you all the game development essentials youโll need to create your very own game ๐คฉ for the Game Jam, where the best games will be announced rewarded with cash prizes ๐ธ!
